SE London Schools - Alleyn’s, St Dunstan’s, Colfe’s - 2026 entry

Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if there’s already a thread for 2026 entry to the SE London schools, so I thought I’d check in. How is everyone getting on?
Our DD has just completed her first sports scholarship assessment for Alleyn’s and absolutely loved the experience. She came out beaming, which was lovely to see.
Would be great to hear how others are finding the process, and how your DCs are getting on with assessments and preparation for Alleyn’s, St Dunstan’s, Colfe’s, or any of the nearby schools.

Make sure it is clear in your email that DC is your favourite and you will accept and pay deposit straight away if offered (if that is true!!)

WL unlikely to move till after offer holders’ days which are generally the week after half term

No harm in calling during that week to express your keenness

Thanks! I did say this in my email and have spoken to the registrar and re-iterated this! She said to call the Friday before the acceptance deadline as they may have a better idea then. So….a bit more waiting for us!! 🫠

My DD got an offer from City of London Girls, JAGS and academic scholarship from her current school! Good luck to everyone!

Hold your nerve! I have a friend whose son got a place at DC from the WL at the last minute before acceptance deadlines (actually it may even have been a few hours after but she was able to claw back the deposit she’d paid elsewhere ) and he is now thriving there. Good luck !

How’s everyone doing? We’re still waiting to hear re Dulwich which is killing me! I can’t sleep or actually focus on any work. In (daily! 😂) communication with the registrar and she says she thinks it’s going to go down to the wire 😬. Shouldn’t complain as we still have our private back up and got our expected (ok) state option yesterday so I should be thankful….but son in tears last night as DH will not pay 2 deposits (fair enough!).

We rejected JAG offer today!

We received an offer by phone for Dulwich 15 mins before the deposit deadline - talk about taking it to the wire!! We are so pleased! Can’t wait to tell our son when he gets home! 🥳🙌
