Just wandering if anyone else is in the final throws of indie prep for 11+ with their dcs? Last furlong now it seems on what feels like an incredibly long race!

Me! It’s been an endless slog but so glad to be near the end now! First exam on the 21st November and last on the 16th December. How about you?

Already done one grammar and one semi selective. Then we have three indies starting last week of November.
annoyingly the last one is after Christmas, so no reprieve til early Jan.
we also have 2 state banding tests which we’re doing as a backup.
I have heard stories of some kids who do up to 14 exams though!
Im glad for you, that yours finish before Christmas…

Us too! sitting one early Dec

We have 1 in the end of this month and another in December followed by a few more in the first week of January. Can’t wait for all of it to be over.

We’ve done one so far. She said she’s never concentrated so hard for so long! She was zonked afterwards. Three more to go…

Oh good luck all. We had one this morning (city of London boys)
I literally have no idea how he did. He always comes out confident. And thinks he smashes atom even when he’s getting a rubbish score so it tells me nothing… i am however glad it’s over.
just a couple more.. very keen to get off the train now!!

is anyone getting results for the exams yet?
CLSB (London) say by the 12th. Computer based testing and a creative writing so might be quicker
Not sure when Highgate let us know, but that was all hand written so presumably a long slog of marking…

We have an offer from one school! More interviews in January and hopefully at least one more offer so we can choose.

We received an offer from one school today, but denied MTA. Very disappointed, as we were expecting at least a partial bursary. Unsure if to appeal or ask to be placed on the bursary waiting list. Waiting for the second school before collectively making a final decision. Best wishes to everyone waiting.

ah congrats… that’s great news. It’s great to have an offer in the bag.
we got offered an interview for one indie place and we have a selective place at a local state school.
But the indies are our DC’s fave choice.
Im now half hoping we just get one indie instead of being offered two because it means we don’t have to battle with the choice then!

oh that sounds tough.
did the school give any reasoning behind there decision to deny the MTA?
the schools we looked at all gave indications as to who might qualify for bursaries and what sort of income/assets would make it plausible?

Morning! Does anyone know when Putney, LEH and Godolphin confirm invites to next stage interviews?
