Mine was 'Paggirl has a mischieveious and frankly bizarre sense of humour'.
Also 'Paggirl is always smiling'. Finally 'sometimes her mind is clearly upon other things'

All true

These are great. Sadly our teachers don't write anything as funny as this (not about my DSs anyway).

However, I am delighted to report that DS1 (Y2) "Can suggest how to preserve coral reefs" at a level above National Expectation for most 7 year olds. Bet all you lot with your "pleasure to teach" and "friendly and kind" and whatnot are jealous now, eh?

mumbar · 15/07/2010 21:59

aha here goes

"minimumber has worked hard this year and has therefore made good progress across the curriculum"

ds has gone from below to above average.

Maths

"able mathmetician.... sometimes finds working in a small gruop difficult as he can become frustated when people dn't agree with him"

Yep if he knows (thinks) he right!!!!

"approaches all he does with enthusiasm and a big smile"

"has a developing sense of chronology" (history)

Um well he knows it goes mon-sun but still unaware of yesterday/tomorrow

PSHE
"is confident in sharing his views"

lots of "has shown an ability comments" IOW can do but doesn't!!

HT comments
"you are a lovely boy whos always keen to stop for a chat"

Not the gushing comments of pp but at parents evening got how he doesn't listen, concentrate, work etc but somehow his progress on paper is very good

"[DD] can travel in a variety of ways."

Thats from the PE bit not geography.

DH got a special mention from the HT, for taking DD to an after school activity - so he's pleased with his report .

DD2 final school report this year...from her form tutor..
" DD2 has been a pleasure to teach even though she does boss me about..'!!!!!!!

Ok she's definitely mine... :D

Ds1's report was full of read between the line moments. My favourite being in science "he readily contributes his thoughts in lessons and also challenges what we are learning". In other words he tells the teacher she is wrong and explains what is right. Though he still got an A1 in it (grin)

benandoli · 16/07/2010 08:55

DS1 his love of history is brilliant he is always asking questions (to which I don't know the answer)!

Should the teacher really be admitting this!?!

Giddyup · 16/07/2010 09:28

"Giddy boy is kind to all and respectful when he feels it is justified/explained" I see.....

swissmiss · 16/07/2010 09:57

"When writing creatively Swissboy has some good ideas but can often be reluctant to put pen to paper; he would much rather talk about his ideas!" - so true. He's so excited about going up to Y1 but he has said he's "worried about having to sit still".

Swissgirl's preschool scrapbook has the following: "I have enjoyed listening to the stories about your family." - eeekk wonder what gems she told them then.

KimberleySakamoto · 16/07/2010 09:58

'DS needs to talk less'.

KimberleySakamoto · 16/07/2010 09:59

DS again: 'He needs to learn that painting one's hands is not a normal part of the art lesson'.

BlessThisMess · 16/07/2010 10:37

My favourite bit about MessyDD1 (9) who has selective mutism and social anxiety and has struggled a lot to even be in school this year : "MessyDD1 is gaining rapidly in confidence and will readily answer questions set by myself even in a whole class situation provided I lean close to her and is now beginning to be audible to pupils around her"

And also "I am really pleased by the growing confidence of MessyDD1. She has participated in all class activities and she smiles so much more. She has an infectious laugh. She has overcome many hurdles and she should be so proud of herself."

Makes me cry every time I read it

And MessyDD2 (5, in reception), who is totally the opposite to her sister "A very lively member of the class. MessyDD2 is a confident young lady who sometimes needs reminding to think of others before she acts."
