Mine was 'Paggirl has a mischieveious and frankly bizarre sense of humour'.
Also 'Paggirl is always smiling'. Finally 'sometimes her mind is clearly upon other things'

All true

DS seems to regard Maths as some kind of mysterious code which he has no interest in cracking
DS2 Is very deep

DontCallMeBaby · 09/07/2010 21:54

"DD did not enjoy our Minibeast topic, as she does not like Minibeasts". Sensible child has seen STRAIGHT through the cynical rebranding of nasty little bugs and creepy crawlies. She is also "not so keen on running". She is, beyond a doubt, mine.

ASmallBunchOfFlowers · 09/07/2010 23:47

The child described in the report we received is mature, polite and kind. I think there must have been some sort of postal mix-up.

Clary · 10/07/2010 00:17

"Thank you, DS2, for being you!"

I heart DS2's teacher, she is lovely.

MarsLady · 10/07/2010 00:26

DT2 needs speech therapy because he had glue ear as a baby and so didn't learn all his sounds. Consequently my favourite comment is the one that says "He enjoys French but finds it difficult to pronounce some of the sounds". Really? Go figure batman. He can barely pronounce English words... and you thought he'd find French a breeze? PMSL!!!!!!!!!!

LimaCharlie · 10/07/2010 00:28

Limaboy - after a very difficult few years at Primary without his ASD diagnosis, but has now been allocated LSA support - "has progressed beyond belief this year" you don't say

deaddei · 10/07/2010 05:52

On my year 2 report, back in 1968, I was "a neat knitter".

FranSanDisco · 10/07/2010 08:04

The comments that mean the most are that ds has been a pleasure to teach and that dd is destined to do well throughout school. This means they are nice children in school doesn't it? I like nice children

Not a report but nursery 'graduation' day. 'Coolchild has the ability to persuade everyone else to do what she would like them to do. ' She received the 'Future MP' badge...

kreecherlivesupstairs · 10/07/2010 08:56

DD according to her teacher has 'funny little ways', her recorder teacher wrote that 'despite not being allowed to practice at home, Kreechermini is gifted and would benefit from extra lessons'. Would that be the ones you charge for Frau X?
DD's reports inevitably record her kindness and sensitivity, I just wish they were evident out of school.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 10/07/2010 08:57

I should add, she has in the past been described as eccentric, peculiar, quirky, strange and odd. These comments don't come from English schools I should add, I doubt if they would be allowed

cocolepew · 10/07/2010 09:00

From her PE teacher, "DD1 is always immaculately turned out" She was wearing her trousers on back to front when we read this.

She's 12.

Lara2 · 10/07/2010 09:35

I write them too, and always ask the children to tell me about school for their front page.
My favourite this year was from a little girl in my class (reception):
"I don't like going to the toilet all the time - I slip off the seats!"

From a child who would spend 99% of her time in the toilets, gossiping and playing with the water!!

blametheparents · 10/07/2010 19:02

What a lovely thread

My favourite line for DS's (age 9 - year 4) is 'He has maturity beyond his years and can delight in the nuances of Winnie the Pooh as much as those of the solar system'
and
I wish [DS] every success in the future, as an astrophysicist or otherwise'

blametheparents · 10/07/2010 19:04

Is is interesting that nearly all the comments we like are the ones that porbably come under the 'Teachers Comments' section, rather than any of the subject sections.

My favourite line from DD's is 'She can a;ways be relied upon the brighten up the classroon. I am really going to miss her beautiful smile and incredible enthusiasm'
(Age 5, just finishing Reception'

throckenholt · 10/07/2010 19:17

DS (7) - goes to a CofE school - RE - keen to draw links between his own life and those of people who are followers of a religion

DS (7) (twin of above) - he is often bursting to talk and once he starts there is no stopping him ! (I know that from personal experience, but apparently he has been quiet at school until this year).
Also PE - he changes quicker than the speed of light and is bouncing with energy and excitement. He is so fast and agile he traverses the hall back and forth like a blur. One can't help feel envious of his ability to perform such effortless and gravity defying acrobatics.

Most amusing of all is we now have a lot of scrap paper - they accidently printed enough copies of one of their reports for each child in the school - oops !

anonandlikeit · 11/07/2010 18:24

ds is clearly aiming for quality over quantity in his work

Easywriter · 11/07/2010 18:35

Babywriter is the best child I've ever had the pleasure of teaching, well behaved, intelligent, I don't want her to leave my class!...

Oh alright! I'm making it up but I'm just frustrated that my DC's haven't had their school reports yet.
Grrr!

bruffin · 11/07/2010 18:41

For DS english

"DS continues to make a full and
entirely welcome contribution to the lesson. He offers comments that
provide evidence of both insight and sensitivity. He is also an imaginative
student who brings some maturity to our deliberations.DS does,
however, need to maintain his respect for the subject's technical and
presentational requirements. Take care, Ds!

DD Art
"DD is a bundle of energy and shows much enthusiasm towards her art work in both class and for homework"

and Drama

"DD is a pleasure to teach; she has produced some outstanding performances this year including an excellent one as Mrs Cratchet in our Christmas play"

Only problem was she tripped up just as she was supposed to do Tiny Tim's death scene and was laughing.

pagwatch · 11/07/2010 18:56

DD has a flair for design and the making skills to follow up those designs"

Most helpful as DD wants to be a fashion designer!

From HT - DD is a joy to see around school. Although quite quiet, she is always smiling, helpful and thoughtful - go for prefect next year DD, you deserve it. (Chuffed Mum emoticon).

But my most proud comment is "DD has a lovely group of friends and is extremely loyal to them"

twentyten · 11/07/2010 19:09

"Whilst DD lacks the natural ability of some of the group(in PE) she makes up for it with determination....
Although she obviously disliked the dance sessions she did contribute in the group tasks......"

Maths and science were brill! The RS teacher told us at parents evening he slways leaves DD's book(with a few others) as a treat to mark at the end.....

tribpot · 11/07/2010 19:09

"He is well behaved and a super character to have a chat with" - I fear that ds is carving out a niche for himself as the organisation's counsellor, like I am. His conversations are fantastic though - today we have had: what would our cat be called if we had one (Harry Potter), how we would deal with Dementors if they were real and wands were not (haven't really got to the bottom of that, in fairness), best games of I Spy.

I would love to see what they wrote about the little girl who has basically been laminated to the sad face board this year. She certainly isn't a 'bad' girl, just rather 'lively'!

julybutterfly · 11/07/2010 19:16

I'm still baffled by the comment on DD's nursery report which says

'pinkbutterfly uses the wheeled toys and climbing equipment imaginatively'

I'd love to know what imaginative things she's doing with these said wheeled toys and climbing equipment
