hi ladies here is our new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
treedelivery · 27/11/2009 23:30

Yeah, not too bad. I We were a bit concerned it would be 5 or so, as the folicle count was surprisingly low. So am pleased with 9, although average is more like 10-12. Still - 9 eggs, and I have children so presumably 9 enthusiastic eggs. Only takes 1...and some in the freezer for siblings.

Acinonyx · 27/11/2009 23:32

Yes, enthusiasm is a very desirable quality in eggs

moodlum · 28/11/2009 09:03

You can't do better than enthusiastic tree range eggs.

Well done Tree. Someone, somewhere will be so very grateful.

I, on the other hand have done nothing remotely productive (geddit) in at least the last 48 hrs

treedelivery · 28/11/2009 13:26

Thank you everyone. Have updated the eggy thread, in conception.

moodlum - I am a known donor, so the parents to be were there for the retrieval and at every scan etc. It has been a lovely experience I must say.

Who knew Christmas could be so busy in school!?!?
I have to -find a white tshirt by Thursday, make and get dd to decorate a crown for Thursday, sell raffle tickets for Thursday, bake for Thursday, but selection box for Thursday, wrap a gift for a mum or dad for Thursday, find Christmas hair stuff in Pink and navy for next Thursday. Plus 3 parties, a nativity, a fayre, and a gymanstics display. That's enough!! Sadly there is the whole needing to eat and produce a house of Christmas decoration adn cheer, plus imaginative and cheap pressi's for all!!

It certainly challenges one's creative juices does it not?

No word on nativity play parts - we have one aweek on Thursday [I forgot With 30 in the class I'm guessing there will be lots and lots of sheep. Best get practising our Baa's!

Seem to be sheding uniform - polo shirts simply disapear in the wash, a cardigan is awol, and M&S tights just fall to bits. SHe has completely grown out of 4 blouses and the remaining polo shirts seem to have shrunk too. Argh!

Aranea · 28/11/2009 20:24

well done tree! Hope you are feeling OK today.

golgi · 28/11/2009 21:34

Tree - I'm with you on the the school busy-ness. Except I have two schools to deal with. One day I am going to get them muddled up and go in Wild West gear (boy's school) when I'm supposed to be wearing spots (mine) - or take the cakes to the wrong place....

Am grateful that the only thing they've asked for for nativity is a teatowel. Yes, he's a shepherd.

treedelivery · 28/11/2009 21:41

Crown - tick. Although I am going to have to reinforce it as it is loaded with so much tat crafty stuff it is collapsing under it's own weight.

Awwwww at sheperds in teatowels. It's a classic.

Acinonyx · 28/11/2009 21:56

Dd has learnt her one singing line for the nativity. She couldn't tell me who she is, who she's singing to or about, or what the story is. But she knows her one line.

golgi · 28/11/2009 22:00

We've got a whole song sheet - although Receptionists are just the chorus of shepherds/angels as the nativity is with Year 1 so they get all the starring roles.

Trouble is, I don't know any of the tunes (not carols I've ever heard before) so difficult to practise! Boy seems to know the words though. When we went to see him sing in nursery last year he not only knew all the words but was telling the teacher what came next in a really loud voice.....now hoping he doesn't do that this time!

treedelivery · 30/11/2009 19:27

I have the nativity sussed. If referred to as The Nativity dd1 simply looks non plussed and has no idea. If referred to as the dressing up thing - suddenly I find out that they can say what they would like to play, and the teachers will then choose. DD has told her teacher she wants to be a king, as she has some aromatherapy oil with frankinsense in. Which is true.

mistletoemulledwinemoodlum · 30/11/2009 19:51

LOL at the dressing up thing.

DS had to have black tights for his star outfit. DD only had black and silver stripey tights, so I'm afraid I did send them in with him. Poor ds, while all the other boys are striding around dressed as shepherds and Kings, I've dressed him in stripey tights...

Golgi - me too on the confusing two schools front. I forsee trouble ahead in these busy weeks.

Shall I start a new thread for us? This one is getting a bit full?

treedelivery · 30/11/2009 20:10

A nice Christmassy thread would be nice, to reflect on the trials of pulling 2 cakes, 4 tombolla gifts, sale of 20 raffle tickets and a star outfit out of the bag, with ease wnad grace.

But we have made the crown. No one can take that away from us

Baking planned for tomorrow night. Lordy.

golgi · 30/11/2009 21:48

Think they may struggle to get boy to wear teatowel. He has never been keen on things on his head.

Festive thread sounds good.

mistletoemulledwinemoodlum · 30/11/2009 23:26

I've done it, a new thread for us
