We did it! One thousand and thirty six pound to be exact.
Thank god its all over though as so stressed out organising it.

Its time for me to stand down as Chairperson now (have organised four fetes so far!)

notasheep - if you have someone who has 'the gift of the gab' that's all you need. I'm rubbish at blagging things but my friend is brilliant at it - she went round all the luxury car places and just asked and was amazed at what they offered! It's the first time we've had stuff like that.

Also go to hotels and restaurants local to you and see if they will donate a meal for two.

Although I think the MU football was through someone who had a connection as it's our neck of the woods.

Don't know if that was clear - the Lexus is from the Lexus garage, not a parent. My friend went in and asked if they could offer anything and that's what they gave us!

Our top raffle prize was a night at a 5* hotel,

£275 voucher for our local photographer(he is one of the top in the business)

A WII

plus another 14 prizes.

The football shirts weren't part of the raffle. They were a silent auction. People paid a £1 to put in a sealed bid. I don't know how many people bid, but that would be on top of the £1100 that the shirts went for!

we are a small church school of 200 with quite a few low income families.

I got quite good at blagging stuff. Local estate agents were surprisingly generous.

Our local zoo is usually quite good at donating family tickets, also if your write to Thorpe Park, Chessington etc they have given tickets in the past.

Our local leisure centre has donated a 6 month membership as well
