Primary School Offers - When did you get email?

Anyone out there anxiously awaiting primary school offers? I'm more excited than anxious to be fair, but impatiently looking forward to finding out where DS will be going from Sept.

If you have been through this previous years, when did you get the email with the offer? Is it worth staying up till midnight?!

The portal hasn't updated.

Seems like a few people who applied to the same school as first choice got a wrong email. A few of them have got in according to the portal..

Managed to access the letter via a laptop- and we got our first choice!!!

Got our first choice, but still unsure whether to put our DD in private school instead.
Have to tell through 'in writing' if we don't want the place.

It’s making me nervous that I haven’t heard anything now as most people I know have! I’m fairly certain he’ll get where I’ve put but I want it in black and white.

Lots of people at the preschool drop off at 9 this morning hadn't heard either.

I wonder whether it was done alphabetically- the school we got into was early in the alphabet, whereas a lot of the others wanted a school with a letter towards the end.

Same. I don’t know why we can’t be trusted with the information earlier like a lot of the rest of the country!

What with London being more densely populated I think they anticipate the chances of people not getting what they want and then being pissed off are higher.

Logged in to Essex Portal at 12.30am this morning, we got our first choice and then received a email 12.50am this morning.

I’m so happy and relieved!

Finally got it! All good, wasn’t worried until this morning but all good now!

Got my emails around 9am. We have both first school and middle school decision today. Luckily round here you tend to get what you ask for so no panic.

Daughter just got email,1st choice and in EastSussex .

According to that you dont need to accept! Which is making me nervous 🙈 I would far rather do something proactive 🤣

We don’t find out until 5. We have applied to delay her reception start until next year we she’s a summer born but we are still in the system at the moment so we still are going to get a place and then withdraw but I’m still excited to see what school we get, even if we aren’t accepting it!

@Hamsternautss I was hoping they were just saying that as a precaution and we'd find out sooner than tonight.

Do we deffo get an actual email?

I live in a county border area. About one third found out at midnight - the other two thirds have to wait until 5pm!

Yeah, you accept the place and then at some point (don't be surprised if it's not before June) the school either calls, emails or writes.
