Anyone know of primary school that starts in August or 1Sept classes?

Hi,
To become a qualified teacher, my PGCE course requires that I do a primary school observation before the start of the course - but I haven’t found a school in/near London that starts in late August or at the latest has students in class by 1 September 2022. From what I have seen, they all have inset on 1 and 2 September and then start classes on 5 September.

Does anyone know of any primary school that begins its autumn term a bit earlier?

We've had pgce students in our school this week. Maybe see if any can accommodate you before the end of this term.

The school must be in England, which rules out Scotland. Late organising too long a story (I had a school but it’s not looking feasible).

Leicester? They tend to have slightly different summer holidays.

Kent schools go back 1st September, according to KCC website.

Try independent schools, their term dates are less controlled.

You still have a week - though it's not a great time to observe right at the end of term. Ring around your local primaries and ask if you can pop in next week.

There are some academies in Medway (Kent) which have a 4 week summer holiday, so are still in for another 3 weeks. Woodlands academy in Gillingham is 1 example

We are not back until the 5th for a training day.. (kids back 6th). I had to have my weeks experience prior to applying when I did my teacher training!! Seems ridiculous to be trying to find a placement now at the very end of term.
