Hiring a nanny just for school runs (morning + afternoon)

I simply can't get the hang of morning school runs. The little one isn't that troublesome these days about getting his clothes sorted and on + shower and brushing his teeth has become a breeze. The problem is I wake up in the morning and simply can't get myself together. No number of espressos can help me and most recently I made us late by losing my phone. Where was it? In the cat food bowl when I thought I had given the cat food... Instead I gave her my phone. As a new mum I'm thinking that since our son isn't too much of a handful these days maybe getting someone in is the answer?

Does anyone else have someone to help with 9am morning school runs? How much do they help out? Do they get your little one ready too?

Honey Not sure if it's sarcasm (hard to tell online) but that sounds wonderful. I just like my private space and a live-in is a bit much, but I might consider it eventually

No one is looking after the dog. I think the dog died. I'm sad now.

That is sad. What happened to the dog?

The dog knew too much Dinosaur Sad about the real timeline

It was worth an ask Smile Bit more upmarket than Sandals I'm guessing?

I think a live in nanny/housekeeper is a good suggestion. Do you have any plans to work/have a career? That could free up time to pursue things like that.

Will you inherit the hotels? How exciting. Perhaps a free holiday then?

BYOSnowman · 07/01/2016 21:55

just get a full time live out nanny then

Of course you're not alone dear. You're married aren't you. With two adorable children, a yummy husband, and, erm, maybe a dog.

I bet the dog has secret time travel skills too. I bet he's living it up in the future right now.

Come off it! If the OPs genuine then I'm Donald Trump. If on the slight chance she is well wow how lazy are you?! Get yourself up, take your child to school and woman up. I get tired, my low blood pressure makes me feel icky but I work two jobs and still manage to get my son off to school or pick him up. I'd love to be able to stay at home and do both!

BYOSnowman · 07/01/2016 21:58

the dog has been replaced by the cat

or the dog was a dog that always felt it should have been born a cat, so now goes by the name Kitty and eats out of a cat bowl?

ijustwannadance · 07/01/2016 21:59

Only half hour left till DH finishes work.

Definitely get a nanny/cleaner/personal shopper. Certainly don't think you'd be tired anymore.

DancingDinosaur · 07/01/2016 22:01

Maybe you could walk the dog with you to school. Bet that dog sure would love a walk....
