One of the mums has moved out of the area with her boyfriend, they have bought a house together but atm has kept hers to rent out once she has secured her 2 x DC's school places at local school (she has used address).

Im annoyed as she was telling me laughing at it, it isn't right at all in my opinion, when I suggested this she said well tough my kids are getting these places Angry

So the mum hasn't made any application yet but you think she might?

Er, what does Cath have to "confess"? She genuinely moved house for a year to be beside the Catholic school. It was her actual home.

Unless people think that people who live in rented houses don't have actual homes?

i think its none of your business, and to keep your beak out.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/08/2015 17:02

Erm, she didn't genuinely move. she rented a house for a year for the sole purpose of securing a school place in a non local school and then moved back to the home she still owned. Even she admits she cheated the system.

In many LAs the checks done would have meant her application wasn't accepted with the address she put.

I'm sorry but technically I broke no rules, and that is good enough for me. I didn't pretend to live at an address closer to the school or used my parents address, who actually live across the road, I actually moved house! It's irrelevant if I moved back to my original house after my child had been offered a place, I was living there at the time of the application and remained there until my child actually started school in the Septmeber.

There will be trouble if the house is let out to a family and they apply for a school place; it has happened before. The place goes to the family who is resident, the family who own the house chose to live elsewhere therefore have access to another school.

Cath you might want to read that bit in the New Testament about the letter of the law and the spirit of the law again.
