The camera will be out so I want to look half decent this time in the photo's. I have a new top, new jeans and am getting my roots done in time, hopefully !!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Beetroot · 23/08/2006 12:34

Blimey, never heard of that before .

LIZS · 23/08/2006 12:41

er not high on my agenda but now you're making me all insecure !

Thomcat · 23/08/2006 12:44

A new outfit for me for my DD's first day at school?
Errrr - NO. It's all about her, not me.
I won't be thinking about what I look like, I'll be concentrating on her and making sure I take enough tisssues as am bound to be crying tears of proudness.

compo · 23/08/2006 12:46

Are you hoping to make new friends and are worrying what you look like?

fairyfly · 23/08/2006 12:47

I'm going to hire a Limo.

Thomcat · 23/08/2006 12:48

LOL Fairyfly

Fimbo · 23/08/2006 12:50

Are you mad?

MrsBadger · 23/08/2006 12:52

of course some us look glamourous at the school gates every single morning [preen]

Tommy · 23/08/2006 12:53

oh no - another thing I hadn't thought about

iota · 23/08/2006 12:54

after 3 ys, I think that the other parents already know what I look like

AngelaChill · 23/08/2006 14:21

I like the limo idea, i can't be the only one who takes tons of photo's on their first day at school surely ?

And of course it's all about her but it doesn't hurt to make sure mummy looks good too imo, i usually look horrific

Oh I'm sorry - I just think this is so funny. Is this serious?

Tommy · 23/08/2006 20:20

would love to see a limo trying to get parked next to our school

WideWebWitch · 23/08/2006 20:23

My LOs friend's dad thought that I was her nanny as I'm young - so after that incident I'm not really bothered about what I'm wearing! (His wife was mortified, but I laughed it off & we all get on ok now!)

Not that I'll be taking her to school as I'll be at work... but I do pick her up on Fridays. Usually turn up in what I wear to work.

Tommy · 23/08/2006 20:28

another Mum at DS1's nursery thought I was his grandma
so perhaps, I ought to smarten myself up a bit!

threebob · 23/08/2006 20:31

I'm aready planning to get all my hair cut off on ds's first day at school and he's not going until 2008.

nikkie · 23/08/2006 21:24

If you are taking the pics why would you need to be dressed up?

schnapps · 23/08/2006 21:41

WHAT exactly do you take photos OF? Obviously, your child/ren, but with or doing what? and WHY? I've never heard of this and think it must be a wind-up!

hulababy · 23/08/2006 21:44

I will be taking pictures of DD in her school uniform on her first day. Why? For memories really. I can do a nice scrapbook LO all about her first day.

Not planning on having anything special for me though. I don't intend tobe in any pictures either!

BonyM · 23/08/2006 21:46
