Where do your year 6s go for a residential trip?

Ours go to the IOW for a week, our school is in NW London so it's around 100 miles.
I thought this was quite cool as it's almost overseas but I know a few people who think it's too far away and for too long.
How far away do your year 6s do, and for how long?

leeds and they go to north wales, mon-fri

When I organised residential visits we obtained a large discount by going during school Easter holidays. It meant staff giving up a week of their holidays but it made the visit affordable for our families.
