Help! greasy hair

I'm looking for some recommendations for greasy hair, my twin DD's are 12 and both get super greasy hair only a day or 2 after washing. We've tried going longer between washes so to kind of train it but it's not helped, they wash with shampoo twice and don't put conditioner on their roots, only the ends of their hair and they use dry shampoo inbetween washes but we're it looks effective in my hair, it doesn't look like it does all that much for their hair. They have super fine hair so I think that's a contributing factor too. Any recommendations for a shampoo, conditioner or any other products? We have previously tried the L'Oréal Clay shampoo and conditioner but it made no difference. We've also tried shampoo and conditioners without SLS in.

I was going to suggest trying fry shampoo but I've seen that you're doing that already.

Hopefully, this will bump for you.

Probably just hormones. I remember way back in yr8/9 I had some friends who would sink wash their fringes (Emily generation) as that was the bit which got greasy quickly - probably from being messed with constantly. Dunno if that works?
if not try styles like brais/slick ponytail to try and hide it 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Or tell them they’ll have to wash in more 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Emo not Emily 😂

Tbh all of mine have needed to wash hair daily as teenagers, as did I. Even now I can’t go longer than every other day. I think if you’re saying ‘a couple of days after washing’, most people would look greasy by then.

Dd uses head and shoulders, the hairdresser recommended putting the shampoo on dry hair, then doing a second shampoo in the shower.

Fine, greasy hair just needs washing every day. Mine did. I can just about manage two days now.
I’ve had the conversation many times with people and tried everything and it just needs washing!

One of my twins is the same, I just make her wash it every second day. Her sister only needs to wash once a week so it shows how differently hormones affect us.

My 12 yo twins are the same. They are also wetting down their hair all the time to make it smooth which is apparently the thing to do now. Drives me mad.

The body shop ginger is good and also no shampoo that is for smoothing.

My hair is naturally fine & curly but quite long; it gets greasy easily so I have to wash it every other day or every day with a good shampoo and avoid the roots when using conditioner.
I think the only way is to wash it daily or alternate days.. it's not difficult really. Only takes 5 minutes unless the person / child concerned has very thick long hair.

I have fine oily hair in still at 40. Double washing with Joico Volumising shampoo works well for me but before I put any water on my head I actually rub in a some shampoo on my hair dry.

The other thing I do and I know this will be disliked is I use those shower head adapters on my bathroom sink taps. I find I can scrub all over my head better and rinse better than in my tiny tiny shower.

I use Frizz Ease SLES free Curl shampoo & conditioner as I find that if I use products for fine hair instead they just dry my hair out and make it too frizzy & knotty.

Try Herbal Essence Strawberry And Mint

Or

Faith in Nature Tea Tree and Lemon

Clarifying shampoo is good to use once a week. Make sure hair brushes are clean too - I try and do a proper clean of mine once a month to stop any buildup of products and dirt.

I have found cheap Apple shampoo from Sainsbury's or Tesco means my teens get at least another day before needing to wash their hair. On the last day, it gets put in a French plait so it's less obvious. I have greasy hair too and I wash every day.
