I cannot find the most recent thread about you and Fee? I do hope everything is ok? Is it me that can't see it or am i going bonkers!!! X

OP posts:
afreshstartplease · 10/01/2015 15:49

I also wondered if some of it was true

seaoflove · 10/01/2015 15:51

Tbh, I am never shocked or surprised by the intricate and long-running stories some people manage to spin on the Internet. I've seen loads.

I did find MM's children's names a bit too crazy to be true, not to mention the sheer number of children and very VERY small age gaps, but I still didn't twig that she was spinning a tale. Maybe if I'd seen the newest pregnancy announcement the penny would have dropped.

5madthings · 10/01/2015 15:56

Bloody hell multiplemama was s troll? I was Hmm at the latest pregnancy. Announcement and I saw it caused upset on the multiples thread as she was considering a termination.

Yes it seemed crazy but some people lead crazy lives. And she had put up photos etc of the kids.

Bloody hell how do you keep track of a crazy lie like that?!!

FraggleRock77 · 10/01/2015 17:25

Why go to all that effort and putting pictures up! She must have had to do some serious research. Her posts were so detailed and she had so much knowledge about prem babies!

OP posts:
afreshstartplease · 10/01/2015 17:28

I wonder if she maybe had had a prem baby and that's why she knew so much?

SophieBarringtonWard · 10/01/2015 17:31

I had wondered about her - mostly because of the number of kids & dramatic tales etc - but she seemed so consistent...?

notonyourninny · 10/01/2015 17:38

No way! I dont believe it

I feel bad for her, maybe she had a prem baby that didn't make it so was living vicariously by others.

afreshstartplease · 10/01/2015 18:02

Adoption comments about her "brother"?

Or where some of her own apparently adopted?

northernlurker · 10/01/2015 18:04

I thought her story sounded a lot like Pixieonaleaf. Totally unbelieveable things happening with dh, twins (always with the twins!) and of course an incredibly prolific and apparently knowledgeable poster despite having twins and a child with a very serious illness.....

PacificDogwood · 10/01/2015 18:08

I am still haunted by Pixie… Sad
She was on one of my antenatal threads.

Doublethecuddles · 10/01/2015 18:11

What I struggled with was how she has time to BF 2 sets of twins, particularly when she has one in ICU! The last pregnancy announcement really made me wonder!

RJnomore · 10/01/2015 18:47

No carbs, I wondered that too. I've wasted time looking through posts this afternoon and I think there's a point it might have moved from true to embellished, and if it's where/when I think it's possible that's really sad.

All you have to do is read enough forums and you'll have all the 'emotional' detail you'd ever need I'm afraid.

Really I am shocked and upset, I have six dc and am 7 months pregnant with my 7th dc. My twins are only ten months old. I related to mm for various reasons.
I hope people don't think I am a troll!

Doublethecuddles · 10/01/2015 19:32

I have just read some of the posts in the Mulitple Section. I think she/ he must have some children, but agree the posts don't all add up!

seaoflove · 10/01/2015 21:30

I'm genuinely baffled about what the troll gets out of it?

Well, it's the chance to indulge in a mad fantasy life, isn't it? And these people never have mundane lives, they have crazy, drama filled lives and the more dramatic they are, the more attention they get from the unwitting people who believe and support them every day.

I once saw the most unbelievable, complex series of stories and characters come crashing down on OpenDiary (God, anyone remember that?). When I look back on it, it's amazing that no one twigged earlier because it was SO far fetched - two male ex-lovers and their subsequent female partners, having children and all sorts (each new person on the scene ended up opening their own diary on the site soon afterwards, funny that! Grin). Anyway, one of the original male lovers "committed suicide" and as they were big players on the site, it was a big news and lots of users were distraught at the loss of a close Internet friend...

Turned out that none of these (maybe half a dozen?) people were real and the whole thing was orchestrated by one woman in, I think, Australia. She'd been at it for YEARS. She'd even set up fake marriage announcements on other sites to give credence to her characters. Madness!

It's quite sad really, to think what people's lives must be like and what's going on in their head to drive them to dedicate so much time to creating these characters for themselves.

Crazyqueenofthecatladies · 10/01/2015 22:56

Wow. Just wow. I'll be honest I stepped back from her threads after she conceived again so soon after Apollo and Artemis. I couldn't understand how someone who had been through all that and with increasingly complicated pregnancies, could be willing to put another child at risk... But I wondered if she had weird religious beliefs that prevented contraception. I always wondered how they had so much child free time to do all those amazing von Trapp style things and figured they just had a lot of support from family. Guess imaginary children leave you with more spare time. Poor poor crazy lady, feel so sorry for the life events that triggered her awful mental health. And poor Mama1980 (does she exist?). Very glad those poor suffering babies are fictitious though.

afreshstartplease · 10/01/2015 22:57

I was on an antenatal thread with mama1980 and haven't had any reason to doubt her story, I hope she's real

triplets · 10/01/2015 23:47

Hi yes it is true about MM. She joined us on our long running D`ya ever thread two years ago. Two of us were very suspicious of her from the start, she shocked us several times with her announcements. It came to ahead just before Christmas when she hinted she was pregnant again so she was reported. After doing their own investigations MNHQ escorted her off the premises. Mama 1980 is genuine. I feel sorry for her to a certain extent, but her posts were very upsetting at times, particulary if you are a bereaved mother. Its a sick sad world at times.
