Medical abortion

Ukmum25 · 10/02/2026 18:39

I had a medical abortion just over 3 weeks ago.. I bled for about a week and a half and then it stopped and I was just wiping blood when I had been to the toilet for a couple of days. Then the bleeding completely stopped. I have however today had a small bit of bleeding in my underwear I’d say more like bloody discharge. I’m not sure if this is my period starting or if it’s still from the abortion. Has anyone else had anything similar happen to them?

That’s horrible trees.

@Ukmum25
This is the advice on the NHS website, I hope it helps with ideas for where to get proper help

It is not a holocaust.
Abortion is a woman’s right to have autonomy over her own body

I don’t care about abortions

I do care about your deliberate attempt to bully and vilify a woman who exercised bodily autonomy which is a basic human right. So sod off.

OP maybe repost this in Pregnancy Choices, you’ll be less likely to run into rabid misogynistic wingnuts there than on AIBU.

RiderOfTheBlue · 10/02/2026 22:59

@Treesinsummer That's even more offensive than your first post, if that's possible.

There’s no child.
A foetus is a collection of cells.

Why are an unborn child's opportunities more important than a born, grown woman's opportunities.

nailslikeknives · 10/02/2026 23:01

Quite right. It’s not a child. It’s a collection of cells.

Itsmetheflamingo · 10/02/2026 23:02

It might just be a bot. Pushing its funders weird extremist agenda designed to destabilise our free way of life. Probably Russian

FurForksSake · 10/02/2026 23:03

@Ukmum25 if you are still reading this, I’m so sorry for the responses you’ve had. Mumsnet may well take this down, but as someone else said you can repost on the pregnancy choices board.

Why are potential adults more important to you than actual adults.

I am completely owning the decision that women’s rights to choose beat the non existent rights of the foetus.

You can be uncomfortable and own that, without trying to make others feel the same way.

And every single sperm is a potential child in your world too presumably since it’s just a question of luck??
Fuck off with your nasty comments. The poster is here for help not judgement from you.
@Ukmum25 darling, just keep an eye on it. It’s probably your period but if you have any pain or feel funny then give your doctor a ring first thing.
Check out the link @nailslikeknives kindly posted.
Ignore the nasty posts. There’s always one utter moron on every thread.

Yellowcakestand · 10/02/2026 23:22

Also this isn't a 'do you agree with termination' post. Noone is asking that. Please dont disrespect someone who may have had to have made a difficult decision for their own reasons.

OP if you are concerned please contact the clinic you used for support and advice. I would say its pretty normal and everyone is different x

You can fuck right off to the far side of fuck do one and not feel obliged to ram your unwanted, uncalled for, opinion down someone’s throat when you have ZERO IDEA of her reasons.
