Medical abortion.

Hi there,
I took the first pill yesterday for the medical abortion. Ready to do second part tomorrow. But I’m still suffering with really bad morning sickness. Is this normal. I’m absolutely terrified somethings going to go wrong!

Hello, OP. I had a medical abortion approx 3 weeks ago.
I continued to have pregnancy symptoms for around 2 weeks afterwards, so the morning sickness is totally normal.

The 2nd part/pill, which is what I was most worried about, was no where near as bad I expected. The pain was very manageable and the bleeding was not horrific. I had normal period-like bleeding for around 12 days afterwards.

I took the day off work and just stayed in bed all day feeling a bit sorry for myself. Its a worrying time and you're entitled to feel down and anxious. The hormones afterwards were a wild ride also, so be prepared for that too. I'm coming out the other side of it now, thankfully. Look after yourself

Glad your coming through the other side! Luckily my friend has took the day off work to stay with me tomorrow so I can spend the day in bed if needs be. I have two little ones too 3 and 1 so she’s taking care of them so I can get some time for myself to gather my thoughts and go through the process. Thanks again for your reply.🤗

Hi, I'm 5 weeks pregnant and we have decided to not go ahead with this pregnancy for various reasons. I have a consultation with a nurse by telephone next Tuesday to discuss my options. Just wondering if the pills were sent out to you by post or is you had to go and collect them yourself?

Hi, I had to go into the hospital to have a scan and then they gave me the tablets to take home. Hope goes okay for you. X

I’m in the process of having a medical termination too. I’ve just taken the first pill and I’m so terrified of what’s to come. It’s made me feel so tired so I’m in bed for the evening... I’m just absolutely dreading the next part of it all x

Try not worry too much. I was the same. The first tablet actually made me pass everything and I still did the second part and it really wasn’t as bad as I thought. Just felt like bad period pains but manageable with some pain relief. Hope your okay!xx

I’ve taken the first tablet yesterday and due to take the test today. The first tablets made me feel just generally rough.. dreading the next part but hoping it goes ok.

The first tablet made me feel pretty rough too.. knocked me out so I just slept for a couple of hours. I’m due to take my other tablets in a little while & im feeling so scared. I’ve got some painkillers, hoping they’ll help.

I’ve just inserted the 4 tablets but I feel so weird from the codene tablets. I feel shaky and weird. Hope it wears off soon.

Thank you. I’ve literally done the same thing, about twenty minutes ago. I’ve had some little cramps but that’s about all.

Please let me know how it goes for you, I hope you don’t suffer too much. It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one doing this, silly I know, but it makes you feel like it x

Yes it’s nice to have someone to talk to. I’m actually more worried about how weird this codene has made me feel. Did you take codene? I just feel so strange like I’m drunk. I don’t like it.

No cramps yet.

That sounds like the codeine to me, I’ve taken it a few times in the past for pain relief.. it used to make me feel dizzy. If you’re worried maybe ring the helpline given on the leaflet? Keep drinking fluids as well once you can stand up x

Yes same. No bleeding. Very very very mild cramp barely noticeable.

Yeah it’s the same for me at the moment too 😕
