I live about 30 mins away from bpas. I have no one to take me so I thought I will drive myself there. Do you think I would be able to drive my way back too? It's a maximum of 30 mins. What's your opinions?

You will get the medicine or prescription from hospital, then you can drive back. You can take the pills after you come back home.

hahavzv · 22/08/2017 21:35

If anything, by the time I get home, that's when it will start off, right? Trying to reassure myself...

They make you take them while there and you have to be accompanied home, very inconvenient but no way around it x

CoteDAzur · 22/08/2017 21:43

Sorry Long, that's not how it's done down here.

hahavzv · 23/08/2017 18:33

How are you today?

hahavzv · 24/08/2017 12:35

I'm at the clinic as we speak. Consultation completed. Didn't take long at all. My temperature was a bit high so they're giving me 5 mins to cool down before I get given the pills. Then I'm free to go home.

I took one pill on sat and then the four that sit in your gums on a monday, I think my cramps started soon after the last set and bleeding about 3 hours later. Do u have anyone with you?

hahavzv · 24/08/2017 16:44

My husband was looking after the LO so I went on my own. I had all the pills taken today. This is now my 3rd hour....

misslost · 24/08/2017 17:03

Ok, try not to worry, it said in my MS booklet it can take a while to start, maybe walk about a bit. I felt sad so I just went to sleep when I got home but I noticed I bled more and had more cramps when I got up and walked about a bit. X

hahavzv · 24/08/2017 17:07

Yeah the nurse told me to walk around and let gravity help the cramps. I've just been to the loo and like two blood clots had passed. So I don't know what that means....

Thank you @misslost it's feels so great having someone to talk to who has experienced this.

OP posts:
misslost · 24/08/2017 18:26

Thats ok, I was scared too. Its not the best time. Hugs to you. X

hahavzv · 24/08/2017 18:57

I've not really had many blood clots after that. Just normal bleeding. Has it happened??

OP posts:
misslost · 24/08/2017 19:21

I asked that same question to the 24h nurse, I just had one clot and the rest was thickish blood. The nurse told me that in the early weeks you cant really tell, she said if I hadnt bleed that much I would need another scan in 2 weeks. If u have a helpline give them a call to put your mind at rest, try not to worry, I was the same. Hugs. X

hahavzv · 24/08/2017 20:22

@misslost okie dokes. My cramps have slightly lessened. I still have a hot water bottle with me whilst trying to put my 7 month old to sleep. I hope I'll manage to get some sleep too without causing a mess! 🙄
