Driving myself home after abortion?

I have my second pill today at 3 and I'm abit stuck with what to do. I live 20 minutes away so won't take me long to get home.
They say to not get public transport but have someone drive you. I don't have anyone to take me so I don't know what else to do but to drive. Has anyone else done it before? I can't imagine the pills would of kicked in by then.

You will be fine. The pills dont kick in until about 45 minutes later

You will be fine. I had my tablets at 11 and it didn't kick in till about 1oclock but even then I only had two paracetamols, it was bareabke. Was still able to look after my two children x

Home now stopped by the shops on the way back too. Waiting game now x

Hi, I'm sorry I know this is an old thread but I'm due in for my medical tomorrow. I have to drive myself there due to the circumstances. Do they check how you are getting home?

I have to be honest, after my second pill I was in agony within 15 minutes and vomitting bright green liquid. There was no way it would have been possible for me to drive and would not have been able to for about 24 hours

I wouldn't, just in case. The pain can get pretty bad.

Thank you ladies. I think I'll see how I go. If I'm bad I'll get a taxi and collect my car the next day. Most people say it takes up to two hours for any cramping to take hold etc. I have a pretty high threshold for pain but I'll know if I'm not right

Hi ladies, I just wanted to update with my experience today. I had my first consultation at 11.00am, and I was treated by 13.20pm. I then drove myself home with no problems at all, in fact I wasn't asked how I was getting home because of the treatment I had (simultaneous medical before 9 weeks). I'm now sat at home with a cuppa waiting for things to happen.

How are you feeling now?

I'm feeling ok. Cramping has just started in the last 30 minutes or so, so far manageable and feel ok. No nausea or anything just yet.

Hope your coping well op and that it's over soon. Do you have someone with you for any support?

I'm ok hun. My husband is out tonight but I'm fine, I have family close by if I need them.

Hope you’re ok. I didn’t have any pain or nausea after mine, it was just like a heavy period. Fx it’s the same for you.

To be honest with you you could find that after the second pill it might take only 15-20 minutes and the cramping would mean you would be unable to drive. I could barely cope with being a passenger :(

Hi ladies, I'm doing really well. I think I'm lucky so far. I wanted a bath but too much blood tonight, will have a long soak tomorrow! It's like a heavy period but the pain is no worse than my worst period pains.

Glad glad you seem to be coping well. Mine was awful . All went well in the end though.

Update for anyone who would like to know how it's going. Cramping is more intense but still manageable. Felt nauseous before bed last night but have a feeling it was the antibiotics as you take 4 in one go. Been awake for a while during the night but that's been going on for a week or so anyway!

@stressedmummy2018 I have my appt with BPAS on Wednesday and I'm terrified. Do you mind sharing your whole experience with me?
