Driving myself home after abortion?

I have my second pill today at 3 and I'm abit stuck with what to do. I live 20 minutes away so won't take me long to get home.
They say to not get public transport but have someone drive you. I don't have anyone to take me so I don't know what else to do but to drive. Has anyone else done it before? I can't imagine the pills would of kicked in by then.

@stressedmummy2018 hope you manage to get some sleep!

I slept so much better last night! Feel like I'm just having a heavy period now.

All the what ifs...what are you booked in for Wednesday?

@stressedmummy2018 a medical termination. I'm terrified of the pain/blood.

Do they let your partner in the rooms with you?

Please try not to worry hun, how far along are you? My experience was very good, I arrived around 11am, had a consultation which your partner can join you for but you have to do part of it alone. This is to make sure the decision is yours and no-one else's. Then I went through some questions about my reasons and my health etc. I then had a internal scan because I was so early. Again the midwife was so lovely, completely put me at ease. She saw what she needed to and said she would send all my.paperwork off to the doctors who approve the procedure. I went away for about an hour for some lunch and came back. All my forms were signed. Another nurse took me into the room and gave me the first tablet which was fine. She then offered to put the other tablets into my vagina for me. I could have done it myself but let her do it. I then was given my antibiotics to take later along with codeine (which I never used) and the contraception I had chosen to take home. I drove home and nothing happened for around 3 hours. Then I started to cramp but no bleeding. Took my son to a football lesson and when I got home noticed the bleeding had started. Cramping was still manageable at this point. I passed one clot. Then i carried on as normal and took my antibiotics before bed. This I think made me feel a bit sick and the cramps got a bit worse but wasn't actually sick and fell asleep. Was on and off through the night with cramps but nothing to bad. Bleeding is steady, no full pads but sometimes when I go to.the toilet I notice it in the bowl. It's not gory, but a very heavy period. Keep yourself dosed up on painkillers and you will be fine hun. If you want to dm me please do.

I think I'm about 8 weeks. It's nice to know you had a relatively ok experience.

Will they let me see the scan if I ask? @stressedmummy2018

Most likely having a surgical abortion. Does anyone have experience with driving back themselves after a surgical abortion?
