Huge congrats MAGIC lovely photo X

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 09/09/2010 09:57

Thanks for all your lovely well wishes, DD bounced into school this morning which is great and I am sat her still looking at my 2 not so much beans but teeeny bubbas! in between typing! We told DD last night after much deliberation because of what happened with DD2 but figured it is easier for her to know, plus it is becoming difficult to hide. She was chuffed to bits and was grinning like the Cheshire Cat when we said it was twins......so big weight off my shoulders Grin

Toomuchteaching I am already thinking hmmmm when is the earliest I can pack up work!

Happygirl I loved pregnancy yoga with DD, I literally had to drag myself there but once I was there I felt so much better for it and it helped massively with recovery. Don't think I am going to be able to do it this time.

Malteser they are monochorionic/diamniotic (one gestational sac/placenta but two amniotic sacs) so having extra monitoring/scan because of TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Confused )

Good news on the sickness Penguin

Glad all good in the coop Battery I think we all feel like that at some point.

Louise hope you BP is ok today.

Viv good luck at Go Ape today, have fun and no monkey business!

Hope you are feeling better today Unbuffy have you made a decision about the pups?

Hopefully that is funny about your GP and Mnet, good he is being supportive!

Alba how did DS get on with his second day? Good to hear you have a good childminder :) I think minded children often separate from their childminders well, mine have always been ok but I think you don't have such a strong bond it is easier to leave them especially as they don't pick up on your worries IYKWIM????? How are you feeling today btw?

Gi1da I feel your pain with the heartburn although mine seems to have subsided thankfully (but I know it will be back).

Any twinges Boodle????

Ok, my tummy tells me it's feeding time!!!!

Big waves to anyone I have missed..........XX

louisesh · 09/09/2010 14:04

BP slightly better diastolic 88,so just needs re-checking on monday.....Thoresby Hall here we come tomorrow!!!! YEH!!!!!

Lovely about your DDs reaction to your news!!!!! Hi to all X

louisesh · 09/09/2010 14:05

Meant to say MAGIC !!!!

dorcas111 · 09/09/2010 18:28

This thread is so huge that despite my best intentions I never get around to doing a proper name check, so sorry for my crapness. I take my hat off to all you ladies who manage such impressive posts. Apologies in advance for this half hearted attempt to catch up...
Magic, great news about your scan and congratulations about the twins (can't remember if I already said that?), that must be an amazing sight seeing two of the little fellas in there. Hope the sickness is passing.
Hopefully that is wonderful that you are nearly at your 12 week scan, and that they can still arrange one in time.
Gilda, I meant to write a while back that the same night you woke your DH up with leg cramps I did the exact same thing- nearly gave him a heart attack. And it bloody hurts as well...
Viv, hope Go Ape was fun. I know people who've been and loved it, although they have never had the extra dimension of MS, so I hope you weren't too pukey. Good excuse for vomiting in front of your workmates though.
Clareanna, I think I remember reading you'd had a scan and all was well- that is fantastic news especially after the scary bleeding. Hope you are resting up.
Sorry, I can't remember what other people are up to,I will try harder in the future! But I hope everyone is okay- it is so nice to see so many people from t'other thread here.
I have my 20 week scan tomorrow, eeek! I didn't expect to be so nervous still- did anyone else feel that way? I keep having classic anxiety dreams and feel all churned up every time I think of it.

WestYorkshireGirl · 09/09/2010 20:09

Hi All

Great to see some newbies from the other thread and that there's more good news on the scan front! I have mine tomorrow which am looking forward to (am now 21 weeks - eek!) . Also looking forward to finishing tomorrow for a 3 week holiday and getting away from the renovation and general manicness of of my house!
We have said when we get back from hols we will start thinking about what we need to buy - it all seems so daunting! I have bought one babygro and that's it, but I have booked my home birth and switched to my independent MW so that seems like progress! I am also going to hire a postnatal Doula to help me out practically after baby comes - DH is self employed so we don't know how long he can take off so someone doing some cooking and cleaning etc will be very good me thinks.
I will make more effort to keep up with this very busy thread before I go!!

Muser · 09/09/2010 22:25

Hello all. Not a good day for me today. I have thrown up six times and generally felt awful. Going to the docs tomorrow to see if I can get any anti-emetics.

Trying not to wallow too much as am off on holiday tomorrow evening. Hope I don't spend the entire time puking. I'm sure a few days in the sun will cure me though.

Will be away for a week, good luck to everyone with scans next week.

clareanna · 09/09/2010 22:39

Uurgh muser sorry you're still feeling sick- nothing worse. Hope a relaxing holiday with plenty of food and rest helps

Magic fab news on the scan - really pleased for you, but am with Jolls on the real naming front!

Viv how was go ape?

Muser hopefully a week off with lots of rest will help you feel less sick, I find it gets worse if I'm tired (although never actually throw up which is lucky)

Dorcas fingers crossed for the scan, I can't imagine I'll be any less of a nervous wreck by 20 weeks. WYG good luck to you too, impressive organisation efforts too.

I've started to tell people now which makes it all seem a bit real, although had a bit of a wobble earlier this week when I just felt really down for no reason and wondered whether I shouldn't have said anything in case it all goes wrong again and then will have to un-tell people. Have now decided to stop worrying about things that haven't happened. I'm 13 weeks today so have to tell people at some point (will think I ate all the pies otherwise)

No posts from Sam for a while - assuming that being back to work is taking all her energy - if you're reading, hope you're doing ok and coping with the pain from the cyst.

oh Loopy I am sorry hun. Big hugs xxxxxxxxx
Hope you are feeling better today Muse x

AlbaDeTamble · 10/09/2010 09:39

Oh no, Loopy, so sorry to hear that. More big hugs from me too.

PenguinsMummy · 10/09/2010 09:59

Really sorry Loopy. Take care.

Goodluckbear · 10/09/2010 09:59

Big hugs Loopy, thinking of you xxxxx

Muser · 10/09/2010 10:08

I'm so sorry Loopy, thinking of you.

I went to docs this morning who made me give a urine sample. Which I could barely manage due to lack of liquid in last 24 hours.

Unsurprisingly, I am very dehydrated. I have been given pills to stop me throwing up and sent home to drink water. If I don't manage to keep water down then this evening I have to go to hospital. Which would mean no holiday for me.

clareanna · 10/09/2010 12:34

Oh loopy i'm so sorry to hear your news- big hug for you and I hope you are being well looked after

muse does it have to be water? Have you tried lucozade or flat coke? sometimes the extra sugar can help settle your tummy enough to not vom it back up. Really hope you can go on holiday and don't need a drip

OP posts:
VivClicquot · 10/09/2010 12:34

Afternoon all x

Oh loopsy, I'm so sorry. Hope you're looking after yourself, lovely x

magic - still beaming about your scan. Oh and LOVED your FB update about burning candles :)

muser - hope you manage to keep your water down, you poor thing x

As for me - Go Ape was great, thanks. Managed to get round all of it (without vomiting!) - including the frankly terrifying 'death jump' at the end where you jump off at a platform and swing about 10-15 ft over to a rope net ladder, which you then have to climb. None of it was particularly heavy impact, so I never thought at any point that I was taking a risk in doing it - that said, I have some cracking bruises on my shins and my arms ache like buggery from climbing up the rope ladders.

Strangely, despite doing Go Ape, I'm definitely thinking of pulling out of the 10k race I'm supposed to be doing in 2 weeks time. I don't think I can run for more than 15 mins without wanting to be sick, so that will have to go...
