Having a poo weekend!
Had some spotting early friday morning :( it happened to be the day of my booking appt with MW so spoke to her and she got be a scan booked to check things out. EPAU were going to give me an appt on wednesday but she had some words and got me one for 1st thing Monday. Spotting seems to have stopped but until I see all is well I am not feeling very optimistic.
MW said that she would be happy for me to go more often than normal to listen to the HB after the 12 week scan (providing I get that far obviously).

clareanna · 04/09/2010 20:32

stuffed so sorry you're having to wait over the weekend for a scan- I really hope everything is ok for you

Hello and welcome to knickerchecking world (if we were ever to rename our list thread...) battery and penguin, congratulations and may you have an uneventful few months ahead. Early scans are good... I think one around 8 weeks when you should be able to see the heartbeat is a really good time for reassurance.

Congrats on getting home meita, I hope all nights go as smoothly as the first!

I too have been snowed under at work, going back to school is just so tiring, and to top it off a new place, with new responsibility, it's crazy. I think pretty much the entire school knows I've started a new job five months pregnant... I had to tell my team in our first ever faculty meeting that the advert for my cover is going in this week. Thankfully they're all being lovely. So SamB I feel your tiredness... but I have to say I hope I don't end up sitting on a birthing ball at work, I don't know people that well yet, but with my plan to work up to 37 1/2 weeks, I may well be following in your footsteps! You have my utmost sympathy. Hope all the other teachers are coping too.

Enjoy being off work now louisesh, you don't really deserve an envy face but I feel it... enjoy putting your feet up.

Am being thoroughly kicked all day every day, and I'm a bit obsessed by it. I love it. Except for the downwards ones, I don't love those so much... it feels like a foot is going to come flying out of my bits!

Hope the "methods" are going to take effect soon enough for you boodle. Relax while you can! She says!

And congrats on the blueness clareanna.

Mammoth... enjoy your Saturday night and big waves to everyone I haven't managed to namecheck... hope you're all doing well.

toomuchteaching · 04/09/2010 20:34

Cross posted there, stuffed sorry to hear you're in this situation... try to relax and keep your mind off it as much as you can over the weekend (not easy of course!) Will keep my fingers crossed.

bessie26 · 04/09/2010 20:44

Hi, can I join you guys please?

I'm 7 weeks pg, with DC2 Grin. My last two pgs have ended in MC (5&8 wks), so I have a "early" scan booked for 9 weeks.

Despite wearing a panty liner every day (just so I can be absolutely sure of no spotting!), and still taking my temp every morning Blush I've been pretty good at blanking out all mc worries up until now, but I think I'm going to find getting past the 8 week "milestone" and waiting for the scan quite hard - any tips?

My nausea has been ramping up over the last week so that I'm feeling rough all of the time - I am liking this though, I'm thinking feeling sick must be a Good Thing, right?

AlbaDeTamble · 05/09/2010 10:12

stuffedmk fingers crossed for you for Monday, waiting for scans really does slow time right down, I do hope you have some good distractions today and try to remember that despite all our histories, chances really are greater that all will be well. I had to keep reminding myself of that.

Northern, you had a scan on Friday? Did I miss your post? Do hope all was well

Magic and anyone else with scans this week, hoping for a run of lovely happy good scan news...

Gilda did you say the hormones are making you angry not blue?? My poor family got a taste of that yesterday... Had an emotional explosion an hour before DS's birthday party.. Very little was ready and they were all busy playing with DS and his new toys so I had a bit of a jealous outburst... Got them all moving, but probably not the best means of motivating them and DH got extra anger for trying to point out I was being a tad unreasonable Blush. Thankfully a lovely party with great fun had by all... DS thinks we should play pass the parcel with all his friends every day now!!

Clareanna so glad all was well at your scan, and here's to lots more kicks in the next few weeks so you can feel a lot more reassured

top of the list ladies... I'm exhausted already, really feeling for you, I am going to be on my knees and begging for baby to be out well before Xmas I'm sure...

Sorry for limited namechecking, cross eyed on little screen...

randomimposter · 05/09/2010 12:27

Just popping on to say a big hurrah for NGL - didn't want to post after Sarahmia's sad news on the other thread if that makes sense? So am posting on this one, where you haven't even shared your good news... confused, you will be!

stuffed I hope you are doing as well today as you possibly can. Thinking of you and hoping all turns out fine tomorrow.

Special squeeze to the lovely Alba and a wave to everyone else... of course all are equally lovely in my socialist world :)

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 05/09/2010 14:27

Hello, sorry I have been a slacker - I have sweeties to share >

Nausea has eased but still shattered and now moody ( Gi1da I know exactly where you are coming from!) and the heartburn has kicked in Angry but glad in a way IYKWIM as symptoms seems to have progressed to the next level Feeling quite calm as I have cleared hurdle 2 but Wednesday can't come soon enough Confused not gonna fret as nought I can do, getting best possible care etc just hope that Thing 1 and Thing 2 have behaved themselves! Also, swore I wouldn't buy any maternity clothes until after Wed but had to as I just look ridiculous in some of my stuff, this twin bump thing is crazy, I look like I am 16 weeks already.

Fingers crossed for you tomorrow Stuffed
Glad all ok Clareanna and a boy :)
Loopsy Muser (hi Muser !) is so right, you are pregnant right now so enjoy it.
Hi Battery and Penguin welcome ladies!
Yay to all your ladies being kicked like mad (but sorry you are uncomfortable), I can't wait for that to start...although with 8 limbs maybe I should keep quiet in the corner and enjoy the peace!
Glad you had a good party for DS Alba :)
Boodle LeeWT and TFLS not long to go ladies!!!!!
Anyone I have missed HELLO!

toomuchteaching · 05/09/2010 16:42

Sorry loopsy, I didn't mean it meant everything would be ok if a scan is good at 8 weeks, just that in my experience it's more reassuring to have a scan when they can detect a heartbeat rather than earlier, when there's not so much to see and so it's not quite so reassuring. I also know it only stops the worrying for a matter of days, and would happily camp out by an ultrasound machine if I could. I wasn't trying to suggest to anyone that it means things are certain... as we're all too aware.

louisesh · 05/09/2010 16:45

Hi to all newcomers WELCOME.Smile.Thanks GILDA and TOOMUCHTEACHING.

Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend X

Cheepz · 05/09/2010 17:09

Just a quick visit to say wonderful news about Iantos arrival. Bless you meita but he was worth the wait!! Lovely xxx

Hopefully · 05/09/2010 19:08

Evening! Just a quick check in - we've been in Cornwall for a week, camping and seeing mad relatives and hiding state of PG. V difficult when step-MIL started asking when we're planning number 2 Grin

Congrats Meita! What a time you've had of it, but you sound so well (infinitely better than I did after giving birth, certainly. Our first night home was not so much bliss as one or other of us dissolving into weeping heaps about every six minutes. Although DS did not sleep, which affects things, I think).

Have finally booked a doc's appointment for Weds. Can't believe I've left it till 10 weeks to actually phone doc's - I just couldn't believe I was pregnant and staying that way (for the moment, anyway). Annoyingly I still have to see doc before I can be referred to MW, but hoping that things will move along fairly quickly now. Am paranoid after reading several stories about MMC after brown spotting (which I had 2 days after my early scan, at about 7 weeks), but I guess there's nothing to be done now until 12 week scan.

Welcome to recent BFPs - have scanned thread too quickly to name check, but huge welcomes, hope you (and I) are all here for the duration this time Smile

clareanna · 06/09/2010 09:14

stuffed hope all goes well for you today*
hopefully well done on booking the appt!

OP posts:
VivClicquot · 06/09/2010 09:25

Good luck stuffed - hope everything goes well x

Morning everyone x

Nothing to report here apart from stupidly painful boobs and backache which I'm putting down to spending the entire weekend decorating our lounge. Climbing up and down stepladders does not a happy Viv make.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 06/09/2010 09:40

Bonjour Just popping in to wish Stuffed all the best today x

Hi Viv, trying to sleep when you have sore boobas is a NIGHTMARE!! Ooooooooouch!!!!!!

Am counting the hours now...............Wednesday is going to be one HELL of an emotional day whatever happens as DD is starting school, I really don't know how I am not going to cry like a baby when she goes in!!!! Confused Blush Sad but at the same time I can't wait I need the rest!!!! Grin

Have a good day ladies xxxx

Goodluckbear · 06/09/2010 10:38

Good luck today stuffed. xxx

stuffedmk · 06/09/2010 11:28

Thanks everyone :)
Let's just say I'm feeling much happier today Wink
Saw a good strong heartbeat and bean wriggling away in there. Measured 10 weeks (supposedly 9+50 so about right.
I know it is no guarantee of what will happen from now on but it is defo a weight off my shoulders for now...and only about 2 weeks until next scan Grin

stuffedmk · 06/09/2010 11:29

9+5 not 9+50 lol

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 06/09/2010 11:53

Just a quick one, feel so sick want to curl up and sleep somewhere for the next 4-5 weeks. urgh. Had HEG with DS and fearing it's turning out that way again. Still no scan here, and no booking app. mmm.
