Thank you for all of the lovely messages of concern yesterday, I had variable internet access in the hospital and could look from time to time. Posting was more difficult. I was so upset to hear Jolls news and by the end of the day it put my news into perspective. I am fine. I do have a few areas of medical concern that can be problematic in pregnancy (ovarian cyst, cyst on kidney etc.) but essentially I am healthy and so is my baby. The midwife did a trace of her activity and heartbeat and said it was ideal. She said it was the kind of trace that they would show to students as an example of exactly what you would expect in a healthy baby. All serious issues that could have caused the pain have been ruled out, but it does persist and I may need to go back for further monitoring. Essentially though I am very lucky. I am older and I have had a miscarriage, yet I am carrying a healthy, happy baby whom we all love already. I am resolved to just enjoy the last few weeks of my pregnancy

Alba Do you mind me asking where you had your scan? Either your experience is very similar to mine or we have been to the same hospital...I have changed to the hospital that I went to yesterday which is much better.
Meita There, you have made it to 40 weeks. I really hope that you are taking good care of yourself and keeping well.
