Arrrrghhhhhhhh.

Am really broody. Friend announced she was pg yesterday and I went all . Then thought of the horrors of the early days and went .

Can't really afford another. But can't imagine not being pregnant again.

Did anyone else get like this when their second was nearly 1?

Sigh.

Ellbell · 28/07/2005 12:53

I feel like this all the time!

sweetkitty · 28/07/2005 12:54

I got it at about 6 months!!! Am now 16 weeks pregnant with number 2 (conceived when DD was 9 months).

The last 6 weeks have been hard feeling knackered an sick constantly. Now I'm all out in spots too, my SPD is back and my clothes are getting tight at least I have the Gaviscon to look forward to............am I putting you off yet?

nutcracker · 28/07/2005 12:54

I also feel like this all the time.

Am beginning to wonder if i'll still be broody when i'm old and wrinkly

zubb · 28/07/2005 12:54

yes - and now number 3 is due in 6 weeks! IIRC you have about the same gap between your 2 that I have with ds1 and ds2 - 22 months, and that will be the same between ds2 and ds3!
We're having to build an extension to fit this one in, and I'm trying not to think about the cost, we just knew we would have another.
What does your dh think?

oliveoil · 28/07/2005 12:57

Yes dd1 is 2 yr 9 mth, dd2 is 11 months.

Dh said he didn't want anymore but he is the one saying to put the baby stuff in the loft instead of selling it 'just in case'.

To those that feel broody, what is stopping you? With me it is definitely money, if I won the lottery I would not think twice about having another.

yep the need becomes apparant around the 1 year age, I dont know if it is to do with the fact the baby isnt a baby anymore. I have held off the urge (DS now 3.5) but its as strong as ever so hoping for pregnancy in Aug.IVF. I do feel the same though, remembering how difficult the early stages are, sleepless nights.

Bagpuss30 · 28/07/2005 12:59

Yup.

ds2 is now 3 weeks old .

Glad we did it but feeling all sad about him being the last. I think I will always feel like this tbh.

Gobbledigook · 28/07/2005 12:59

I did. And I got pg! Love, love, love having 3.

Tis expensive though and ds3 isn't even wearing shoes yet or doing expensive activies like swimming lessons!

No help am I?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 28/07/2005 13:00

YEP!

Jess was 6 months old when i fell with this one... on the home stretch now - roll on october! Do i regret it somedays?! Yes, would i change it if i could - NEVER!

nutcracker · 28/07/2005 13:00

What is stopping me is money (lack off), prob pregnancies, can't afford a bigger car and i can't drive.

They all seem like pants reasons though really, well apart from the pregnancy probs.

Angeliz · 28/07/2005 13:01

i a, so broody too.
dd1 is 4 and dd2 is 5 months.

oliveoil · 28/07/2005 13:01

3 weeks old! I remember those ickly tiny fingers and thin ankles.....

STOP IT OLIVE

I do actually have room for another though which is something I never thought i'd be able to say, and I do sort of feel obigated to fill the house up

Gobbledigook · 28/07/2005 13:02

My parents had 3 and literally had nothing - no money, no car, tiny house - I don't remember wanting for anything but I LOVE having 2 siblings. We had brilliant fun - always loads going on and we are still close. Having no money as little kids was just not an issue (to us anyway).

We did get better and better off as we grew up though - do you see finances getting better over time??

Gobbledigook · 28/07/2005 13:02

Nutty - you can fit 3 in a normal car.

nutcracker · 28/07/2005 13:03

Lol, i already have 3 Gobble

Gobbledigook · 28/07/2005 13:03

Oh yes! PMSL - durrr! Am laughing out loud now - what a wally!

nutcracker · 28/07/2005 13:04
Grin
Angeliz · 28/07/2005 13:05

i'm hesitating myself as it broke my heart when i couldn' t do things with dd1 when i was pregnant but what they say about seeing them love each other is true.
Now i'm worried a third would rock the boat as the 2 are lovely.

But i still want one.

oliveoil · 28/07/2005 13:05

I am one of 3 and we didn't have a pot to piss in growing up, can't remember feeling deprived at the time.

Can't see finances improving, I would have to give up work, they would implode!

Tell me some horrors to put me off:

Sleepless nights
Stitches
No time
