Woken at 6.45am with contraction like pains.

Have been timing them since 8am -coming every 3-5 mins and lasting 27 - 33 secs at the mo, so not very long....
Having to do the breathing though.

Any chance it will all stop?

Oh, I do love a labour thread.

Sounds like things may be kicking off.

Have you got anything planned for the next day or two?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 15/04/2010 09:03

They are quite sharp and seem to start at the peak, unless I am just missing the build bit?

Wouldn't believe this is no.4 would you? Every time has been different.

ooh peaking at the start is what mine did in later labour.
Your baby is going to be a punctual little so n so, could put on his CV; born on time..

Just think; you ill know about it soon if it is labour, and get a midwife there quick so someone can catch him if he flies out as mine did yesterday, lol

LadyOfTheFlowers · 15/04/2010 09:11

Last 2 were quite mean and were both 35 seconds long.
Have rung brother to alert him of situation - he is having kids for us.

mumtotwoboys · 15/04/2010 09:13

cool, my midwife said to call back when they each last a minute long

Birdistheword · 15/04/2010 09:13

OOooh

LadyOfTheFlowers · 15/04/2010 09:14

In case I missed your birth announcement mumto2, congratulations.
Addled preggo brain can't remember what I did yesterday.

Now for some TMI bits:

I have also had the trots and my pesky pile which is usually not a problem and stays 'indoors' keep popping out. Could this be a sign of pressure building? Don't feel any pressure yet.

oooh how exciting!

mumtotwoboys · 15/04/2010 09:19

Advice;
take this opportunity to get it all out!!
Or it can very easily come out when your pushing, which is embarrasing
Thanks for congrats

looks like today may be your LO's birthday, where do you plan on giving birth?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 15/04/2010 09:23

Hospital, in pool - if they have enough staff on. Hopefully won't be too busy as it will be daytime. Always seems packed at night.

Now you said about a minute long I remember going up with last one at about minute and 20 secs long.

mumtotwoboys · 15/04/2010 13:33

girlsyearapart · 16/04/2010 17:30

dd1 was born on her due date and I was in total denial about the 'on and off backache' I was getting so I went swimming.. managed 1 length.

Made it home still didn't believe it dh all for going in to hospital as I was saying no this can't be it- who actually has babies on the due date!!

waters broke during argument so he won

Portofino · 16/04/2010 17:37

Oooh congratulations! Always nice to see dedication in getting straight back on MN!

LadyOfTheFlowers · 16/04/2010 17:50

Got there in the nick of time really.

Was examined, she said I was 6/7cm and had I been planning on a home birth then changed my mind?
I said no, I just didn't want to be up here ages!!

Shortly went into transition, asked DH to shoot me, then popped her out.
