Are any of you wearing really compy keepyuppy ones?

i like your comment MorrisKapp, that is something iv'e been waiting to hear yonks!!
Im not pregnant at the mo, but totally sympathise with the trauma of jeans you are so right!!
Yep. when preggrers i think just totally accept the elasticed waist and wait for post birth for them. It's only a few months.
I didnt take long to get to my pre preggers jeans, as do lots i know.xxx

Never found maternity jeans to work!

I wore ordinary jeans until 5 months each time (under bump, long top over), then gave up & lived in skirts/leggings.

I had an Isabella Oliver skirt that I lived in - just a long black stretchy tube.

I've got under bump jeans from NL, was wearing them from 10 weeks. Now in maternity leggings fron NL, or George (the george ones are a bit cheap, but fine for round the house). the jeans are buried now, have been for the past 2 weeks

Might have to get some braces... my dad has some he never wears!

Last pg, I wore Next ones with the elastic in the sides, but there weren't any elastic fabric patches iykwim. They were just large denim jeans you could tighten. miss them like mad, but I lost them in one of 3 house moves.

I find the adjustable ones now have these daft elastic panels at the sides, and they just slip down. Tried one pair, and took them straight back, after they fell down at church! Thankfully, I had a long dress type top on!

I'm wearing braces with my maternity trousers they are fabulous and take away the misery of pulling your trousers upall of the time !! You can get them from e-bay , amazon and m and s. Go for it ladies just wear them!!I love mine!! grin

I'm going to get some maternity jeggings as my (admittedly very comfy) under the bump so-called-skinny jeans from M&P are always needing yanking up! Plus they're not what I'd consider skinny! And at 29 weeks I can only just get into non-maternity leggings.

I don't think it helps that I've lost weight on my bum and legs so am in between sizes there. My bump is all out front too. Some (all?) brands seem to do generous fitting on the bottom half of maternity sizes, I guess working on the basis that most people put on a bit of weight around the hips/bum when pregnant. Unforunately as I'm all boobs and bump, nothing fits me brilliantly - too tight on top, too loose on bottom.

Skits do seem to stay up better, presumably because as they're not being bent over the knees or caught at the heels, there's less pressure on them to fall down. I have a denim skirt from Mothercare that is great, but trying to not flash your knickers when getting out of car 6 months pregnant in a short skirt is nigh on impossible IME!

I had a pair from New look, under bump dark blue jeans with side panels, they were only £16, I wear them with a belt. I bought them when I was 10 weeks and they still fit me now at 37 weeks.

I also had a pair of over the bump jeans from Next which I have worn twice, they were useless.

I suppose jeans are personal at the best of times, what fits one perfectly may not suit another, but I'd recomment New Look, and would deffo buy these again!

I've just found these on EBay, I'm thinking of investing in a few pairs for all of the above reasons - I've already got a few pairs of maternity trousers ready for when needed, but after reading that the majority of trousers fall down I'm planning on being prepared for the worst! - my backside on display could cause road accidents and make small children cry!!! My last pregnancy i nicked a pair of my dads braces, kept all trousers up. And also made me laugh every day.

I have some over-the-bump bootcut jeans from Next that don't fall down too much in later pregnancy, though I had to get them shortened as even the small leg length was miles too long for me (I'm 5'1). But the under-the-bump ones fall down. Perhaps dresses with leggings or tights are the way to go (or braces).
