Can anyone recommemd any? I've not get a very big bump yet (19weeks) but my normal jeans don't fit, have some over bump ones from Next that fall down and some from Moto that have elastic bits at side but still constantly fall down.

Are any of you wearing really compy keepyuppy ones?
Many Thanks X

I love the mat under bump jeggings from ASOS.com, i bought 3 pairs, highly recommend! Also Over the bump leggings from Mothercare are just the comfiest things ever. You can pull them right up and tuck them under your bra so your not constantly pulling them up!!!

roary · 05/04/2010 21:54

Lo, I have found them. Citizens from mama la mode. They stay up and look great. Have been worth every penny which is just as well because had to remortgage to purchase them. Price per wear they have worked out though.

sheepgomeep · 05/04/2010 22:25

It's not just me that has trouble with maternity jeans then!

I bought a pair from New Look about 3 months ago. Worst things I ever bought.

jurisfictionoperative · 06/04/2010 02:21

second time around, when I no longer had my first baby sylph like bump (size 10 normal jeans at six months!), I was out of all my trousers by 10 weeks! I opted for over the bump trousers, and as they were obvoiusly quite roomy, I used to safety pin them to my bra!! Got some funny looks at my ante natals, but I was comfy so didnt care! I suppose logistically they have to ride down as they are around the widest bit of a big bump, so as you move they just slip down the slope and the elastic shrinks back! was just thinking that maybe there is a market for mat trousers with shoulder straps, then realised 'doh' they would be dungarees then!

Nymphadora · 06/04/2010 02:32

Bring back dungarees!

Although I have just seen some (non maternity) ones in h&m so do we think they can bein fashion by the summer?

beanlet · 06/04/2010 14:59

Bump bands -- stupid me, why didn't I think of that? ;) Thanks butterscotch!

LooL00 · 06/04/2010 15:25

I've got a 'belly bra' which is great for support and if you pull it down over your trousers keeps them up too. it was pricey but is now on my 3rd preg and washes and dries overnight. Only thing is it will be too hot by my due date. But so will jeans.

glasgowlass · 06/04/2010 15:31

The only maternity trousers and denims that didn't fall down with me were Red Herring @ Debenhams.

megonthemoon · 06/04/2010 15:33

Do bump bands actually hold trousers up in a belt sort of way, or do they just cover your tummy? I had same problem with mat jeans in first pregnancy and suffering the same way with my second. Just about outgrown my normal jeans at 17 weeks so wondering if a bump belt will help keep them up with zip open a bit, or whether I'll just end up with jeans around my ankles. New Look, Mothercare and bloody expensive Formes ones all fall down whether over or under bump and i end up walking like some gangsta rapper with crotch at my knees and knicker elastic on display . I have today dug out the Dorothy Perkins combats that worked brilliantly last time (why do these stay up but jeans don't?) but will probably resort to dresses most of the time again - although that means i'll need to shave my legs every bloody day given i am so hairy. Grrr...

beanlet · 06/04/2010 16:02

I'm not sure I could cope if I had to shave my legs every day, which is why I wear tights with my dresses. I already have to use a shaving mirror to do my lady garden (or get DH to do it, which he is quite keen on )

Eleanora · 06/04/2010 16:46

I've found some brilliant under the bump maternity jeans from Seraphine - perfect at 18+3 when normal jeans don't do up but I don't have much of a bump. Have been living in them for the last week. They do cost £55 though..

butterscotch · 06/04/2010 17:57

Bump bands just kind of hold it in place it's just like a piece of elastic band that keeps things together I didntbotger last time but asmymat oghes weremore stretched fromlast pregnancy this helped!!

first1 · 07/04/2010 11:50

ASOS.com!! Couldn't recommend it enough. I bought 2 pairs of maternity under bump jeggings and I've lived in them since 16weeks. Now 34 weeks and I'm sure they'll last til the end

GwennieF · 07/04/2010 15:34

Try H&M Mat jeans - I have a couple of the over-bump ones and they have elastic on the inside with which you can tighten the waistband.

MoooCow · 07/04/2010 18:37

I tried tons of jeans, Topshop Boyfreind maternity, Next Carpenter, posh Seraphine straight legs, and many more ebay purchases. Gave up on jeans at about 24 weeks and got some Next black jersey trousers for 17 pounds, can't recomend them highly enough, I lived in them! And leggings and dresses, I was due in July so thats what got me through the summer.
Good luck!

Hi, I found mine fell down all the time and then one day I noticed there were adjusting buttons inside to tighten/loosen and that solved it (you probably have noticed but I thought I'd mention it just in case.) x

GwennieF · 07/04/2010 21:23

To be honest queenofthehouse I didn't find the buttons until towards the end of my last pregnancy.... I'd been using a belt at the start! I blame my hormone addled pregnancy brain for not seeing them earlier.

missedith01 · 07/04/2010 22:57

Hi, I'd like to 2nd GwennieF - the only ones that stayed up for me were H&M over the bump cargo pants = bought several pairs in the end and wore them all the time. I gave birth nearly 2w ago and I sort of miss them ...

bloomingbex · 08/04/2010 13:56

I bought some ASOS maternity jeans a few weeks ago and spent most of my time looking like MC Hammer until my Mum pointed out the buttons to tighten them up.

AnnaAug · 08/04/2010 20:13

I foolishly bought New Look ones that managed to both rub and fall down! Wore them on a shopping trip - went to Mamas & Papas, tried a pair of soft denim straight leg jeans and refused to take them off!

So Mamas & Papas - I really, really recommend them. Bit more pricey than some but they had 20% off denim last weekend (might still be on offer or just in store?), they come in different lengths which I found really handy, seriously comfortable, and the shop assistant insisted my husband paid - result!!

Nymphadora · 10/04/2010 19:03

I have just bought the best jeans & combats from the US. Pea in the pod if they come up on ebay. The pouch is different material to you get here and so comfy!

dinkystinky · 10/04/2010 19:06

Best pair I found were seraphine maternity jeans. Stylish and comfy. Over the bump ones wont fall down but will make you look like tweedledum...

cinnamongreyhound · 10/04/2010 20:00

I got mine from Dorothy Perkins in my last pregnancy they were under the bump and with elastic at the front but had adjustable waist at the back, like kids jeans. With the buttons and elastic with holes to adjust them.

Haven't needed any so far as have no bump at 19+4

MorrisZapp · 10/04/2010 23:20

I'm only 14 weeks just now so am (optimistically) anticipating skirt weather by the time I outgrow my normal jeans.

Presumably skirts stay up better than jeans, does anybody know about this?

Tbh I've spent the last 10 years of my life hoiking jeans up to avoid showing my arse crack, as a non pregnant person. The engineering involved would suggest that jeans that stay up without a belt yanked round the waist is a physical impossibility, unless we go back to the 80's.
