Are there any others out there expecting November babies?

Our first baby is due on 15 November (so I'm 6+1) and I'm the first of all my friends get married and get pregnant. Would love to compare notes/worries/milestones with some other girls due around the same time...

Love Jo x

daisystone - I can totally empathise, I am due November 7th, and only this week have we been able to start sorting our upstairs out. We have just cleared one room, me and dh have moved into the spare room, ds will be moving into our old room this week, then his room will be clear for the 'dudelette' as we have been calling him.

very exited about it all, but starting to get a little worried that we wont get everything sorted in time (e.g still need to buy a cot!) and so nesting has fully kicked in. But also if he arrives late like his brother did it could only give us about 6 weeks after his arrival before Christmas! aaarrrgh

Mama2Monkeys · 05/10/2010 10:33

jwiggles - I'm on DC3 and never had Diarrhoea as a sign baby was "making its approach" Wink. But who knows maybe baby Smile.

I'm 34wks, feeling weepy and just Sad not sure how much is hormones and how much is just stuff I've got going on with other 2 DCs. Went to BF class last night and have decided to give it a go with DC3 after my bad experience with DC1 and no attempt with DC2. Last fews days really been suffering from headaches (dont normally). Oh and my SPD has definitely got worse at night time and REALLY painful and "clicky" when trying to get out of bed and walk to the toilet and low/middle back pain in the day. But at least babe, whom is still nameless due to me and DH indecisiveness and family polictics, seems happy enough.

At work now Sad but at least maternity leave starts week on Thurs Smile. Then I will be able to rest 2 days out of 5 whilst DS at school and DD at nursery.

I am turning into a night owl the further along in pregnancy i get. Cannot sleep at night and can't lie down comfortably so have decided to stay up and potter about until exhaustion takes over.

My appetite has decreased too which is odd as I expected to be eating like a pig!

Back ache is a nightmare at the moment.

Not long now... Smile

myBabySweepstake · 06/10/2010 21:02

Hi Ladies,

Your wait is nearly over, I hope everything goes well for you all.

I have 2 girls, one aged 3 and one aged 9 months. While I was waiting for my first (she was 12 days late!) I wrote www.mybabysweepstake.com - a website that lets your friends and family guess on your baby's arrival date, weight and gender. Please feel free to have a go for your new arrivals.

Thanks,

Kerry

Mama2Monkeys Sorry to hear you are having lots of aches and pains, I definitely have good days and bad days, some days spd and back are fine, other days I'm waddling/hobbling like an old lady! :) Glad to hear you are feeling up for giving BFing a go this time, make sure you come on MN for support if you are having any trouble! Grin Anybody else in the 35th week suddenly noticed way less "kicking" and much more "wiggling"? Baby seems to really be running out of room now!

JosephineClaire · 19/10/2010 14:56

How is everyone doing at the moment?

I finish work on Friday and I am literally counting down the hours - doesn't stop them from piling on the work though!!

I've got really horrible lower back pain and achy hips at the moment, and just find I run out of energy really quickly at the moment. I'm gradually working through my 'nesting' but my 'to do' list seems to be growing, not shrinking!

Any recommendations from any of you, about things to do in the last weeks of pregnancy? I'm thinking haircut, cinema trip, meal out, leisurely bubble baths, and actually reading, and finishing, a book! x

Hello - I am almost 36 weeks, due 18/11. I was hoping to get some feed back on hospital experiences. I am currently at Chelsea Westminster and have not like the experience at all... Thinking of moving to St Mary's but, need to do it soon. Anyone have positive or negative experiences at either???

Smithy1979 · 19/10/2010 15:27

Hello
Doing ok but feeling a bit bored to be honest! My friend says its a good sign to be feeling restless. This is my 3rd week on leave and I'm running out of things to do. Thank goodness for the internet. 36 weeks and 2 days today and it feels like I have sooo long to wait. So impatient.

Also now finding sleep a bit of an issue, my hips are killing me at night and I'm up for a wee at least 5 times.

Bubble baths, reading and a daily walk are keeping me sane (sounds terrible doesn't it!!)

Hope everyone else is enjoying the last few weeks.

daisystone · 19/10/2010 16:30

hi everyone. Nearly 36 weeks now and still lots to do. We haven't started on the nursery yet! Although that really only entails putting together some furniture.

I have been to the hairdressers and now don't feel so awful and am trying to take as many naps as possible.

My energy levels are low and I sometimes wonder what on earth I do every day as it doesn't seem a lot. I love cooking but even finishing a recipe seems like too much at the moment!

I hope you are all doing OK. Time is slipping by quickly now and we will be bringing baby home before you know it!

Hi there everyone,

Home straight at last huh?

I am trying not to think about labour, but also wanting this to be over as soon as possible now as I am just so tired.. loads to do and no energy to do it!

I think I may make some lists :) that doesn't require much energy but may make me feel more organised!!

EatSleepLove · 20/10/2010 22:55

Hi everyone

3 weeks to go, and one more week of work (yawn). But at least work keeps me occupied and not worrying about anything as I'm too tired to think of anything apart from work.

Ana03 - I can recommend St Mary's - they really are excellent there and one of my NCT friends used to work in obstetrics there and has chosen to have her baby there too! What better recommendation is there? C&W gets good feedback except sometimes the aftercare is a bit shoddy apparently.

Artyparty · 21/10/2010 10:39

Hi Girls
Last couple of weeks for me and I'm loving this time. I seem to have had one interesting thing to do each day so not too board.
We are nearly there with getting the house sorted out and the lovely girls at work bought me a pregnancy spa treatment which I had yesterday - bliss! Grin
The baby is amazingly busy and I can see the feet kicking out quite clearly.
Although I'm not in a hurry, I'm glad the end of the pregnancy is in sight. It does seem odd when people say they 'enjoyed' their pregnancy Confused
Mine has been fairly straghtforward but there's no getting away from it is there!
Good luck to all of you ladies and I shall check in again when I have the bundle!
XXXXX Wink

fireflyz · 21/10/2010 12:48

Hi everyone
Can't believe we are so nearly there now! I'm 35+5 now and generally enjoying maternity leave - apart from everything else, it's great to have time to go to the loo in the mornings!

Still get scared every now and then - if the baby doesn't move as much as I think it should or if I do something silly like move or bend in an awkward way - but then the baby does some big squirms and wriggles and I feel better.

It's a real up and down experience, pregnancy, but I love feeling that the baby is getting bigger and stronger in there. Feel so hopeful and excited ... as well as nervous - just hope the baby is healthy! Can't wait to hold our little baby. Little way to go yet though...

I second baths and walks! Trying to soak up as much October sunshine as possible before little madam arrives and the cold dark arse of winter sits firmly down upon us...brr!

I have NOT finished painting (read: got DH to finish painting) and put things away but otherwise generally prepared...hopefully. Dog has taken a shine to the Moses basket. Thank the Lord he will be on holiday with PIL when infant arrives. At least he likes babies, is an enthusiastic tail-wagger even when they SCREECH!

Anyone else have dogs and wondering about introducing small humans to them?

jwiggles · 22/10/2010 18:15

Hello ladies,
well it seems my little one is breech, and as they haven't turned in the last 5 weeks, I have been booked in for an elective section on 28.10.10!! Next Thursday! Eeek! So from the 13th Nov, it's now going to arrive over 2 weeks early. I suppose it's good in the fact that we can plan better and have everything ready, but still a bit worried about the section itself and the 6 weeks recovery afterwards ...
God luck everyone and I'll let you know if it's a pink or blue one, next weekend!
X

JosephineClaire · 22/10/2010 18:38

Wow, good luck jwiggles! Must be nice to actually have a timeframe to work in :) All the best, hope it goes really well, and looking forward to hearing all about the new arrival x

Hi WhitePeacock I have 3 dogs but I already have 3 children as well. My oldest dog is 15 and was our baby before the boys who are 13,11 and 7. We were very careful at first but she was fine. It was only when my oldest son started moving around that she became a little fed up!! My youngest dog is only 3 so I'm not sure how he is going to react to a baby. He is very good natured with all the boys so I'm sure he'll be fine but I would never leave them alone with the dogs anyway.

Good luck everyone. I still have just over 2 weeks left and am feeling very lazy. I really can't be bothered to do anything!! I don't seem to have any energy for housework when
DSs are at school and any little bursts I do get are spent walking dogs! Maybe this will bring this baby on early??!!

Mama2Monkeys · 26/10/2010 10:30

quick update ... 37wks with DC3 (DS2). He is back to back like his brother (DC1). Really dont want another labour and birth like that and was hoping for a labour and birth more like DD surprise home birth. Exhausted and still pretty much doing everything until DH occassionally engages his brain and helps! Last week at work. I'm glad last week at work but prob get more rest at work at home with my other 2 DCs Wink.

Still cant get it in my head that in 3-5wks (5 if like DS and DD) I will have a labour to go through and another little babe. Daft I know.

Anyway got to decide what we are doing for halloween and DDs 2nd b'day on 11th Nov. Just hoping babe who's due on 15th Nov isnt the only early babe in my family and arrives near/on DD b'day.

pinkyp · 26/10/2010 10:33

my 2nd ds is due 25th nov and i'm trying to be more prepared this time, godd luck to all

Jenni363 · 29/10/2010 19:12

Yikes I've only got 9 more days to my due date, 7th November! I found out yesterday that the baby has turned and is now back to back. I am rather worried about this... Have spent a lot of time on all fours on the floor, and leaning / sitting on the swiss ball... Wonder if there's something else I could / should be doing! Turn baby turn!!

(This is our first baby)

I think everything is ready for her arrival now. Nursery is ready, bags packed...
This is my first week off from work so been great to catch up on last remaining things, had a dental check up, hair appointment, will try to paint my toenails at the weekend if I can still reach them... And tint my eyelashes as I'm hoping for a water birth... the vanity! Grin

JosephineClaire · 05/11/2010 12:10

Any baby news from anyone yet??

I'm really hoping to get moving in the next few days - have had a clear show everyday since Tuesday, with period pain and bleeding through last night (sorry if TMI!) but now I'm up & about, I have no pain at all - very frustrating!

Anyone got any tips? x
