Are there any others out there expecting November babies?

Our first baby is due on 15 November (so I'm 6+1) and I'm the first of all my friends get married and get pregnant. Would love to compare notes/worries/milestones with some other girls due around the same time...

Love Jo x

Helo and welcome ro4chat and sarahbuff - look for the current thread "Nov 2010, energy levels are low, but only one trimester to go!" to catch up with the November chat . . .

Artyparty · 22/09/2010 16:38

Hello girls,
Great to hear all your updates. Becoming a reality now isn't it?
I have also been going to NCT ro4chat and feel a lot more informed. Also, the group were nice so hoping to have a few local new mum friends to call on in the near future.
I think the abdominal 'period' pain is just the huge baby streching you. I have the same and was told it's just growing pains.

I had a 32 week scan to check on growth and just saw a huge chubby cheek as baby had it's head down and facing away. So sweet!

Agree with you Samraves - seeing the arms and legs coming out is a bit much. It wants independence! But I really need my month off work before D-day so hopefully will not come early Grin.

Re: Mat leave starting jwiggles I am most looking forward to:

  1. not having to commute
  2. getting a snooze at lunchtime
  3. getting everything neat and ready whilst listening to the radio - ah domestic bliss starts Oct 8th!

And I have packed that bag even though planning a home birth Wink

Mama2Monkeys · 27/09/2010 12:14

sarahbuff thanks for the words of wisdom regarding BF. Going to BF session next week and keep watching my BF dvd. Not sure I would BF until 2.5yrs though, just me. But who knows?! Love the idea of your home birth, my DD (22m) was a surprise home birth caught by daddy. I keep considering it for this one but not sure if I realised how far I was with DD I would have been as calm as I was. Also very lucky no complications (unlike DS). But result of being born at home, just me and DH there was/is so special and amazing. Keep saying going to hospital but who knows this one may be quicker so I get the home birth again.

Also thought I would say it sounds like we are having similar pregnancies with what you say about symptoms and that never had before. I never had any of this with my previous 2 pregnancies either. I think my body is saying enough is enough and I have to agree. You already have 3 boys ShockSmile. Wow! I am not worthy.

33wks today, due 15/11. Smile[gulp emotion] I should really more confident and excited than I am. Especially as done it twice before. Finish work in 3 weeks Grin.

Symptoms not too bad at mo. But two DC (4yr & 22m) that have decided that now is the time to start being on/off (more on) pains is not helping my tiredness or stress levels.

Smithy1979 · 27/09/2010 12:38

Hello Mama2monkeys
Just wanted to say hello as my baby (my 1st) is due the same day as yours. Feels like it's just round the corner now doesn't it!
I finish work on Friday which is lucky as I am finding it takes me an awfully long time to do anything now. I also got half way to work this morning and remembered I had left my laptop at home, so I'm losing my mind too!
Good luck for the next 7 weeks! :)

Also, hello to all the other November Mums to be, I hope you're all well.x

excitedmummy2be · 27/09/2010 13:10

Hello ladies! Can I join? Very late I know! I'm due 1st Nov. I'm 35 weeks today. Utterly shattered, heartburn, SPD, back pain, burst blood vessels, thrush, peeing my pants.... BUT so excited that DD will be here very soon . Can't wait to meet her!! Good luck all you other November mummies!! X

Threelittleducks · 27/09/2010 13:13

Hello all :)

Got my section date booked for 1st November, so only just still in the November club!! So 34 weeks today and due Nov 8th, but taken the week before. Am so very excited!
Not long to go ladies, not long at all! xx

jwiggles · 27/09/2010 13:56

Hello ladies,

Well according to our last scan last week we are now due on November 8th, not 13th (appar it was always on my hospital notes, just not on my handheld notes!) So everything is being brought a week forward!

Also ...baby is breech! So im trying all sorts of things to turn baby as I dont really want ECV or C-section...

So ...only 6 weeks to go now, eeeek.

And started to get really bad heartburn today , had it since 10am now...grrr

But cant wait to meet our baby girl/boy and im sure all the problems ive had (gallstones / SPD on crutches now / heartburn / susp pre-eclampsia / nasty doctors / hospital visits etc...) will go out of the window once they are here!

Good luck to all the other Nov mummies...
xx

Mama2Monkeys · 27/09/2010 14:02

smithy congrats on your EDD Smile.

wow some ladies due the 1st Nov. Wish I was. I cant wait to see my babe but also must admit this pregnancy unlike the other two has really taken it toll on me. Also got DD 2nd b'day 4 days before EDD to sort.

Claz1001 · 27/09/2010 16:02

Hi, I have just seen this November babies thread and am keen to join in! My due date is the 19th Nov but I am likely to be having a c-section so will probably be around the 12th. This is my second, we have a 3 and a half year old DD who is very excited to be getting a baby brother. Feeling reasonably well, just tired and bit uncomfortable now. Last week of work this week (yippee!) but then moving house over the next few weeks so that we are all sorted in time for the birth!

Good luck everyone, will keep checking in on this thread and look forward to hearing how you are all getting on.

Claz

sarahbuff · 27/09/2010 16:12

Hope your DD's birthday is lovely Mama2Monkeys! Funny enough, there are no November birthdays in my family at the mo, and had planned to get pregs for next summer but this baby had other plans, so at least he/she will get the month to themselves! So looking forward to finding out the sex/meeting this baby, I can hardly wait!! =) Just found out too that my sister is coming over from the US with her daughter (who I haven't met yet, she's 9 months old) to be here for the baby's birth, and I'm ecstatic. Even better, they'll be here for Thanksgiving, which is a major "family" holiday for us Americans so it'll so lovely to have my sis here. sigh How am I going to get through these next 6 weeks?? I want it to be now!! Grin Glad to say though that SPD is still mild (discovered a few weeks ago though that I have vulval varicosities ew ew ew, sorry if TMI ladies! Anyone else have these?). It's funny but the things I've experienced this pregnancy seem to be related to the fact that I am carrying really differently than with the others. This time I am carrying small, really neat and baby is really tucked up inside me. Not what I expected for a fourth baby, but then I guess my abs are in better shape this time!

babywren · 27/09/2010 18:01

Hi everyone, new to this and a wee bit late too, due date is november 29th so im 31 weeks today, this is our first and were both over the moon, am i too late to join in ?

Mama2Monkeys · 29/09/2010 11:46

babywren never too late. welcome and congrats.

Jenni363 · 29/09/2010 16:16

I'm also new to this! I'm 35 weeks now and due 7th November. This is our first baby and I'm getting quite exited now.

We decided to do the NHS antenatal classes to save some money but the group is huge and I haven't so far (after two sessions) found them so exiting... And doubt I'll make any lifelong friends there. But perhaps I'll meet some nice people once the baby arrives on some "baby groups".

I've still got 3 more weeks left at work, last day 22nd October. Then I'm planning to take 2 weeks annual leave before I start my mat leave on 8th November..

I'm really looking forward to my leave now! Not a huge fan of my commute as I take 2 trains and the tube..

Apart from that I've had "easy" pregnancy I guess.. No back pain, sleep really well. Have heartburn most days but thats normal I guess..

We've now bought most of the things, been buying stuff along the way. Now just need to set the nursery and start packing The Bag.

Have you all done your birthing plans already? More I think about it the more I want to request the epidural...

NotWithoutMascara · 29/09/2010 17:38

Hi all, I'm new here too. I'm due on the 12th Nov. Feel really dis-organised, not been to any ante-natal classes yet (NHS couldn't fit us in until 22nd October). Think I've had a fairly 'easy' pregnancy so far but now I'm off work ill as I keep fainting! Keep thinking:"need to pack/start thinking about bag, need to write birth plan, need to finish nursery, need to buy more tiny baby clothes@. Will I ever be ready?!

Samraves · 29/09/2010 19:51

Lol... I have a room, which will be the nursery, just filled with random things like bags of donated clothes, baby bath, cot mobile etc... I really need to wash everything out and start getting prepared! I really need to make a list of stuff I need to buy...

Been told by my dr to work from home now - cos of low blood pressure (although would have been prepared to sign me off, but told me to start self certificating if I felt too ill to work for the first week). My manager was good about it - I thought when I phoned her to let her know, although I am actually on A/L leave today. Then she phoned back and asked me where something was saved, and said oh - but I didn't realise that you working from home meant that you didn't intend to come in on Friday to give a presentation! Great, does she think that working from home means 'working from home, unless my manager wants me to come in to do something?'

Ho Hum - and I have been so tempted to go off sick (and dr would support me) only guilt and wanting to tie things up nicely has meant me deciding to try to keep on till the end!

tanmu82 · 01/10/2010 09:48

Hello all - been a looong time since I popped by. Hello expecially to all the newbies :)

I'm 35+3 wks and am just ready to not be pregnant anymore and finally meet DD2! Also, I am feeling quite run down and am terrified of the prospect of going into labour with a nasty cold :( I really wish I could dose myself up with Vit C and B vits, but as far as I'm aware, this is not allowed :(

artyparty friday 8th is my last day in the office too, though technically I will be working from home for another week. My replacement has already started though so I can't imagine there'll be all that much for me to do, so I am looking forward to returning from the school run to a quiet house, putting my jammies back on, and slobbing on the sofa with crappy daytime telly Grin

tanmu82 · 01/10/2010 09:51

actually, I just remembered, 8th is an inset day so I will be off with the kids that day on annual leave. So last day is Thursday!!!! Hooray :o

riggsy2 · 03/10/2010 10:46

Hi all,

Well docs of brought me forward a week so now due the 18th Nov which makes me 33+3!! Cant believe it has gone soo quick, only seems like yesterday I found out I was expecting!
Does anyone else have waves of paranio come over them? I have no reason whatsoever to think it but occasionally have days where i think my husband is having an affair!!
He really has given me no reason to think it, we have been together 6yrs, married 1 and hes always spoilt me rotton, he hasnt been out fo ages now (as i cant drink hes staying in to) so its not like hes had the opertunity to, he goes to work at 8 and is back home at 5 (work close to home) and he stays in everynight with me as been busy sorting out the house ready for the new arrival....so like i said, no reason to suspect anything. Just feeling abit insecure i suppose, body changing, strech marks, is all this normal???

Madhouse41 · 03/10/2010 11:33

Hi I'm a bit late to this thread too. I'm due on 9th November with my 4th. I have 3 DS aged 12, 10 and 7 and like a few of you am suffering with SPD, back ache, low blood pressure, heart burn and general exhaustion!!! Doesn't help that I'm 41 too!!! All very exciting though. Good luck to you all. Smile

zandlt · 03/10/2010 12:04

hi, new here too. im due on 18th nov as well. had it pretty easy i think although still felt harder than last time but guess thats having a 17 month old DS to run after.

I finish work on thurs and am just hoping that I will then manage to motivate myself to sort everything out that needs doing.

Although we did buy DS1 a new bed yesterday to move him into to free up the cot and nursery for DS2 when he arrives - just the room to sort out for the bed to go into.

Artyparty · 04/10/2010 09:53

Hello girls and welcome to all the new ladies joining this thread.
Like you jwiggles I am due on 8th Nov Grin Does this mean we both had a lovely valentines day? Wink.
Last week at work tanmu82 and I am 'working at home' today; although actually taking delivery of a sofa bed and the carpet fitters are doing the nursery - oh well!
Feeling ok. Met a lovely group of ladies at my NCT classes and we have formed a little support network (in RL) already, so I'm delighted. Have a feeling that I may go slightly mental being at home on my own all day (typical after looking forward to finishing work for so long).
One of the ladies has already had her baby and the photos are just adorable. I can hardly believe I will have one of those so soon!!! Grin

daisystone · 04/10/2010 12:02

Cannot believe that I am giving birth NEXT MONTH! Oh my God. The house renovations continue and I am not at the stage where I can nest yet which is making me anxious.

I am trying to visualise a calm couple of weeks before the baby arrives. I feel massive and have very little energy. It is a strange time really. I feel in limbo, as though I cannot get on with my life as I am waiting for this thing to happen. It is as though a bomb is about to explode!

JosephineClaire · 04/10/2010 13:49

Daisystone, 'limbo' is the perfect word to describe this weird feeling - it's coming up so fast but every day is dragging and I'm the same - no energy, no strength. What I do have is about a million times more intense emotional responses to things - i.e. I'm crying every day, but have no idea why/no logical reason. Must be a total nutcase :)

Hi im due on Nov 15th so im 34wks today, have got all the small bits just have to get big things like cot... To me it feels like time is going very very slow and I just want it over with so I can hold my baby. I havent had no braxton hicks and no other things that I hear you are meant to get.. Im looking forward to christmas with all my boys around the tree :)
Good luck to all you ladies :)

jwiggles · 05/10/2010 09:57

ArtyParty ....sounds like all is going well with your new network of friends, and yes maybe it was a Valentines baby ..I never thought of that ;)

Last night I had some really bad low down crampy type pains that came and went in about 10 min slots over a 2 hour period... The last one was the worst and I thought I was going to scream out in pain, but I managed to breathe through it and then fall asleep. I also had 3 lots of diorreah and 7 wee's! Do you think Baby is coming soon???
Im only 35 + 2 now ...eeeeek!
