Little Amigos

I had a NIGHTMARE dealing with Little Amigos in Stockport. I ordered my pushchair online only to wait 4 WEEKS, then be told they couldnt get the stock any more, and i'd have to wait another 4 WEEKS. I immediately triend to cancel my order, only to be met with more of a nightmare.

They had already taken my money from my credit card - even though they insist no money is taken till they send your order. Anyway, 6 phone calls later, more promises of messages will be passed to customer services, someone will call you back but NOTHING. After another 2 weeks i got my money back but the whole experience was unbearable. Someone called 'Mr Hawoon' was rude, abusive and downright unhelpful.

I felt all the more guilty as i recommended them to a friend (as they ARE cheap), but she ended up receiving the wrong item after a 3 week wait! Then she was told the one she wanted wasn't in stock. Again, another refund battle commenced!

I have since been told by a rep of one of the big pushchair firms that this company is related to Bambino Direct - eiether one is a spin off of the other, or they are the same company. I am still investigating. Bambino have bad reports so this kind of makes sense.

You have been warned, steer clear at all costs!

Ive just read through this thread after not doing so for about a month, my goodness what a lot to read.

Ive just had a look at their website too, i cant even find a telephone number on there anymore.

Hi I bought from them about 10 months ago and am now having problems with the buggy which is still under guarantee. The only problem is there is noone there on the other side of the phone so my complaint can be dealt with. Any advice on what I can do to either get my buggy repaired or replaced? thanks

This is my first post; my only association with Little Amigos is as a potential customer. I was researching prices for the Baby Jogger City Select and stumbled across the Little Amigos site. I was initially suspicious because you had to contact them for a quote for the package. I emailed over my requirements and received a call the following day, with a quote which was approximately 300 less than John Lewis and other sites. I asked them to confirm this in an email; they refused. I must admit that I was immediately suspicious, and thought it too good to be true - hence my further research into reviews of the store itself; thank goodness.....

Try the "PreciousLittleOne" website. I've had recent orders from them which arrived super quick. Good products, and the cheapest too I found. And really pleasant customer service.

Teenytots are very reliable and used them on 3 different occasions and would really recommend them, friendly and very helpfull staff and prompt deliveries

I also found their site and ordered a baby jogger city select by phone and all sounded fine - v helpful and the item would be in stock in 2 weeks, however they said they would email me confirmation and i emailed them after a few days to see what was happening and now cannot get hold of them, every phone number i try i cannot get through, i cant even get on their website anymore, i have warned my bank and they have advised to chargeback if i do get charged. I wish i had found this site first. please please do not order from them or if you read this and know anything please register and leave your story as i have just done.

You are not alone I ordered the Baby Jogger City mini and have not received it, had no contact whatsoever in fact I didn't even order my pushchair from them I ordered from a company called pramwalla but it was little amigos who stole my money I would say took my money but as I have received nothing for my money I will class it as stolen. Thieving b***ds! I have exactly the same problem they have lied and lied and lied to me since the 16th March and now I cannot get hold of them either I am resigned to the fact that they have gone with my money my only hope is with my credit card company I have filed a dispute now. I would say nobody buy from little amigos or pramwalla but as both sights are now down you couldn't anyway just beware when they start up under another company name as I am sure they will any day now.

My lovely cousin just came to me concerned about her order placed with Little Amigos as she had tried to contact them to no avail. I decided to dig a little deeper for her when I stumbled across this thread.

I have called the number on the site and they have a simple answer phone message that any phone would give you. This seems a little odd for a "professional" company. I also took a look at the receipt she was sent and I instantly spotted several mistakes that a "professional" company ought not to make! There were errors in her address, admittedly this could have been an error on her part however, the address was on the receipt twice and the second time there were errors! Also, at the bottom of the page it stated 'Page 2 of 1' These kind of errors would NOT be made by professional companies I can assure you of that!

With any luck, my cousin can claim back her money via the bank.

Having not purchased myself from this company I can only relay what I have found.

hmm I doubt very much that you are the managing director. the phone number looks good but it is unobtainable. I too have had money taken from my credit card account for an item I was told was out of stock and thus never received ( I cancelled the order and was told the money wouldnt have been removed from my account)Fortunately I had the forethought to use a credit card and so the item has been removed from by statement and Barclaycard will be investigating the company as I have found it impossible to contact them, as have others. The emails dont contain a contact number. This is a real concern. Obviously would advise to stay well clear of this company and remember to use a credit card when purchasing items of the internet.

Hi, ive just stumble upon this thread and would like some advice. Firstly, it little amigos still trading??? I placed an order with them last november and i recieved most of the order feb but i am still waiting for 1 item which i have been charged for. Ive been trying to contact them on a number that i used when i placed my order and it is no longer i use and i cant find their website anymore to find a new number. ive only just got my internet up and running again. i have read through most of the threads posted but i am very confused!!!!
any advice greatly appreciated!!!

What a very strange message. I looked on google for a phone number to ring little amigos as soon as I realised that I had been billed for an item I had been informed was out of stock and therefore never received, and 'Mumsnet' came up. I joined. I'm not even on facebook, this felt very geeky doing this...Never heard of it previously but when I read all the messages I knew it wasn't just me having problems contacting the company. Not one of the phone numbers given on the messages gets you through to little amigos. Barclaycard advised me to contact Companieshouse , which I did. The company will be dissolving on the 10th August this year. I was advised to act quickly if I wanted to reclaim any money taken wrongly by the company when I hadn't received any goods. Now.... I have absolutely nothing to gain by letting other mums or mums to be know this. Other than 'aren't i good for sharing this'...Feel very disapponinted to let you know I have just come back from work, I am a nurse. how very boring that is, sorry I am not something more interesting, would be interested to know the kind of person who writes messages like yours though!!

They have gone out of business. Littleamigos.co.uk no longer exists. The number displayed at their offices at 220 Wellington road south stockport is 07767 888808.

Just a quick update to this thread, which I found by doing a Google search for a mobile number (the one listed above - 07767 888808) for someone claiming to work for a company called Toy Walla.

I ordered a baby bouncer three months ago, was offered money back when it had not come "into stock" after a month. The refund has never materialised and all my attempts to get in touch by email and phone have been entirely ignored.

I have already complained to Consumer Direct about this and will take any further action. But it is worth noting that "Haroon" mentioned earlier on this thread and Takir (whose mobile number it claims to be) are the people behind Toy Walla. And the address the company uses is on the same street as the old Little Amigos company. I would suggest it is just the same business with a new name.

Anyway, I'll be taking whatever action I can against the company. But just so that no-one falls prey to what seems to be a scam again, I thought I would update you with the new name - Toy Walla.

(And if the managing director of Toy Walla happens to read this, feel free to tell everyone on the thread that it has all been a mistake, send me a direct message and refund my money immediately. Then I will be happy to post that experience too.)

Hi you are not alone I had dealings with a company called pramwalla which was also little amigos before that. I paid £250 and to this day have never received it and that was 10 months ago! They are crooks and now trading as www.toywalla.co.uk and the crook is named Takir although there is more than one involved. DO NOT BUY FROM use a reputable company that you know exists and that you can contact. I can guarantee this one if you get hold of him will make you promises galore oh but thats only when you can get hold of him.
