I had a NIGHTMARE dealing with Little Amigos in Stockport. I ordered my pushchair online only to wait 4 WEEKS, then be told they couldnt get the stock any more, and i'd have to wait another 4 WEEKS. I immediately triend to cancel my order, only to be met with more of a nightmare.

They had already taken my money from my credit card - even though they insist no money is taken till they send your order. Anyway, 6 phone calls later, more promises of messages will be passed to customer services, someone will call you back but NOTHING. After another 2 weeks i got my money back but the whole experience was unbearable. Someone called 'Mr Hawoon' was rude, abusive and downright unhelpful.

I felt all the more guilty as i recommended them to a friend (as they ARE cheap), but she ended up receiving the wrong item after a 3 week wait! Then she was told the one she wanted wasn't in stock. Again, another refund battle commenced!

I have since been told by a rep of one of the big pushchair firms that this company is related to Bambino Direct - eiether one is a spin off of the other, or they are the same company. I am still investigating. Bambino have bad reports so this kind of makes sense.

You have been warned, steer clear at all costs!

l am now going to do my home work on this company and will blog on here daily, phhhh never know might even get my money back,( l know lol ) anything l get hold off on this god forsaken company l will list on here for all to see

1st yes l have sent email to watchdog come on lets all help each other with is one.

If you have used a debit card then you will hell of a job to get your money back if it is not one of the new visa card take it from me l did still no money refunded order was in may 2010

Well another day in the life of little amigos still taking orders not having the stock not refunding, not replying to emails, phones ring no one picks up, going to do a bit more digging, as far as l see there company has not as yet been dissolved, this is the company which is for address which l have already listed here on this site with phone number.
DO NOT USE THERE WEB SITE AS THEY WILL TAKE YOUR ORDER BUT THEY HAVE NO STOCK WHICH WILL MEAN A VERY BIG HEADACHE FOR YOU TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK IF EVER

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

I have ordered a travel system on 4th January. Money is taken from my card. I have tried calling them many times, but no one answer my phone. We are expecting our baby in next 1-2 weeks. Now I am trying to get the refund. Though I have left many voice messages, but no one answer my call.

PLEASE Avoid LITTLE AMIGOS - It's a dreadful company.

l have sent 12 email today to them and have made 25 phone calls

Ohh no one there.

Going to try a new system with them will report tomorrow

Hi All,

I ordered a Jumparoo chair on 10th of December for my Nephew. Still not recieved and had no contact from the company. I even emailed and called 3 times a day.

Not one to be fobbed off I took a drive from the Wirral to Stockport to the adress on their website - guess what? I was empty! There was a note o the window with the new adress so I took a drive there and yep, you guessed it - Its an industrial estate with nothing but MOT garages.

What a bunch of horrible, dishonest crooks, I wonder how many parents where left feeling down at Christmas because they had no gifts for their child and no money left to buy one?
I am only an Aunt and I was gutted!

I have since spoken to my bank and fortunatly my money has gone back in.

My advise would be to speak with your banks and I also think trading standards can help. I got my money back but will still be lodging a complaint with them.

In summary -SHAME ON LITTLE AMIGOS. INCORRECT ADDRESS, DONT ANSWER THE PHONE, TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT DONT SEND YOUR GOODS. DONT USE THIS AWFUL DISHONEST COMPANY!!

So the company doesn't exist anymore. Awwwww.... I really need to talk to my bank to get my money bank.

It's horrible!!!!

We all need to talk to WatchDog to complain against Little Amigos.

No problem,
Im on the site for watchdog now.

I am fairly sure they still exist as a company but are intentionaly advitising the wrong address on the internet.

Also all 3 telephone numbers are not responding. Im amazed they have got away with this for such a long time.

Depending on who you bank with you may be able to get the credit card company to deal with this. I suggest calling them.

I will keep you updated with the Watchdog thing and wish you well in reclaiming your money from these blatant criminals!!

Hi all, just to let you know I still haven't heard anything from Little Amigos. I sent an email to Watch Dog last week and am waiting for a responce. I thinks that's the only way we will get our money back. I can't believe there still taking orders!! My bank is also trying to help and they have sent me a form to fill in so they might be able to help even though I didn't pay on credit card.

hi everybody just to let you know i have been in contact with little amigoes i got hold of them on this number 01484769987 this is the order hotline number on the top of there website. they explained saying that they have now moved from stockport and are now based in huddersfield. They seemed pretty reasonable on the phone so hopefully my problems and yours may soon be sorted. the woman i spoke to said that they had only been back in work for two days and that they have only had there new couriers set up since yesterday. good luck all and remember the number is 01484769987.

Just to ley you know after not being able to contact Little Amigos again about my refund I opened a dispute with paypal. It was escalated to a claim and Little Amigos were given to the 16th January to respond. Funny enough they didn't so paypal have given me a refund :) I'll definately be more careful in future when buying on the internet!

pregnany for first time parents is scary enough. I have so much to think and worry about already, the last thing new or any parents need is to worry about unscrupulous business trying to con you out of your money.

Mumsnet has already been an invaluable asset. Time is such a precious commodity, I'm glad I'll not be wasting it on Little Amiigos.

Ordered a car seat form this lot on the 4th Jan 2011. Waited 2 weeks before contacting them as the order status on the website was still showing 'to be dispatched'. I was told that Paypal had been investigating fradulent activity with them. Thinking nothing of it I tried to pay again on the 17th Jan 2011. Still not dispatched, I have now cancelled the order. All my enquiries got answered, but their service is still below 2nd rate. For those that have got their items, I can only think the stock must be returned or not dispatched to another customer, therefore in stock. They appear not to carry much stock, relying on delivery straight from the manufacturer, hence the cheap prices. The downside is the poor service you get in return from bad management. Def won't be dealing with this lot again and would not recommend them. Their change in phone number hasn't helped (note their address hasn't!)

I had a similar situation to this with another company when I was pregnant.

Ordered all my nursery furniture, never turned up, premises was empty, phone cut off etc.

I got my money refunded by my bank in the end, it took a while, but even if you did not pay with a credit card - used a debit card, you ARE still protected.

Just to let you know, they are connected to an Ebay shop aswell, BedsandSofasdirect. Based at the same Huddersfield address! The one that isn't shown on their website! I only found out through another Paypal purchase which they have failed to deliver.

The amount you would supposedly "save" buying through Little Amigos will most likely result in a huge struggle to get it. I appreciate that 1 out of 10 or so customers experience smooth transactions. My only question is whether these 10% experience good service if/when they have returned to little amigos?

My case involves purchasing a pushchair over the phone 19th of Jan. I never received an order confirmation via email however. I had called up the day after and was told that it has been sent to my email. I waited a few more days and called back on the 25th, only to find out that they had spelled my name wrong in all instances...which would therefore void my card details straight away. I was not informed that the order was cancelled till I called again on the 31st of Jan. I was given the option to reorder the item but at the items current price which - I should add- HAD RISEN BY £100!!!!!. Little Amigos did not see my mispelled name as their fault and have chosen not to honour the original order. Conveniently enough for the manager, everytime I wish to speak to him, I get a default response "he has just nipped out, but I have spoken to the manager and he is aware of your problem, but there is nothing we can do."

My case has yet to be solved with Little Amigos, but I intend on pursuing this as I feel let down.
