Thankyou for the positive stories and support.
I have had another consultant appointment today and actually saw my own consultant, which was great, although he now goes on holiday, so I won't see him for a couple of weeks, he is by far the most positive person I have seen so far though, I really like him. Also, his own son has Cerebral Palsy, which I think helps him to understand that the fact premature babies may have 'extra' problems is not a reason to write them off.
Anyway, both twins are still doing fine. Twin 1 (the one with ruptured membranes) does have some fluid around it, but in pools, so not much, but it looked better to me and hubby than before. And the consultant wrote on my notes 'low but some fluid' which is good. (Odd now what I consider to be good news... ) Twin 2 is completely fine and normal. Twin 1 is head down, twin 2 breech, so that's fine too.
The 'bad' news (although it's not seeming that bad to me at the moment) is that one of the placentas is anterior and low. Obviously maybe a problem for delivery or a cesarean, but one of my worries has been getting a prolapsed cord and the consultant felt the placenta being where it was probably reduced the risk of that, which can only be a good thing.
My CRP levels were down to 21 today. Still higher than they should be, but my white cell count is normal and the consultant said as long as they are staying around the same, that is fine. He would only worry if they suddenly started to rise quickly.
So, all in all, I feel quite positive today. Still a long way to go, but only 6+5 until 24 weeks, a lot less than I started with.
