TRIPLETS!!!

Had my 12 week scan today and there are indeed 3 babies there. Two identical and one not. Am in total shock.
I'd been feeling pretty lousy but not really worse than other people I know. I don't even have much of a bump. I already have a DD so I'm going to be Mum to 4 under 2!
Holy cow...

Anyone else had triplets???

There's a lady on my post natal board who had three under two and I know another twin mum who had that. They seem to have retained their sanity

Congratulations - this is a blessing indeed. Hoping everything goes well for you and the trio - keep mnet updated!

Wow, fantastic news, good luck

fillybuster · 17/11/2009 16:30

Wow...amazing news (although I also feel your fear!!) You will definitely have a noisy household for quite a few years, but how lovely for your kids to grow up in their own gang of 4....I would have loved that

Come on over and hang out with us on the 'Due in June 2010' thread if you have time

And good luck

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2009 16:41

wow! congratulations!

A friend of a friend (this is true, I promise!) had twins, then conceived another set of twins 2 weeks after the first set were born. She coped

Congratulations! I know it will be a lot of hard work but you will get SO much support, I actually feel quite envious.

Aww thanks all. Shock has given way to excitement now and I can't wait to meet the babies (although not too prematurely I hope).

The most fun bit has been telling people (especially work hee hee)! The look on peoples' faces is a picture.
Off to start pilates tonight because hell, my tummy muscles are going to need all the help they can get.

Hi there,

I dont know if you're still there, but I was searching on mumsnet for anyone who was like me and had triplets - and I have found you who are at the beginning.

My husband and I found out we were having triplets on 04 Dec 2008 and they are now just over 7 months old. We have two boys and a girl and are all doing great.

Monday to Friday from about 7 in the morning to just gone 6 in the evening I am on my own as hubby at work and I dont live near either his or my family. Before our three arrived I had barely even held a baby never mind be a mother to 3!

It is tiring, exhausting, daunting and scary but also the best thing that has happened to us!

If I can be of any help, please just shout!

butterscotch · 26/11/2009 22:15

Wow big congrates!!!

suwith3 · 26/11/2009 22:22

thanks

Am having a bit of respite this week as my Mum has come up to help.

All does seem bleek sometimes, as though someone has switched the light off at the end of the tunnel. But then one of them smiles at me or does something daft and everything seems a little bit better.

Am currently weaning them at the mo so thats fun!

chattermouse · 26/11/2009 22:27

Wow! Congratulations and

On a practical point maybe get your DH to wait before having the snip - assuming all goes well he can have it right after they are born.
