I have a 2.5yr old DS too.

Hello everyone!

ligeia · 23/11/2009 21:21

I'm due in July too. Fingers crossed. I already have a baby who is one on the 9th December and I'm absolutely over the moon and terrified all at the same time. Will certianly want to talk to other mums in similar situation!

summerymummy · 24/11/2009 11:22

I am due 27th July and have one DD aged 3. Feeling VERY sick but very excited

bluebell6 · 24/11/2009 14:05

Im due 19th July. Have one DS who is 2.3yr old. Am very happy (and a bit scared.. how do you adjust from one to two??? )

timefliesby · 24/11/2009 15:50

It appears me too unless three pregnancy tests are wrong. But my first is only eight months old and I wasn't expecting it.

Dairylea · 24/11/2009 16:54

I'm due July 19 - my first! Very reassuring to see these other posts up here. I've been feeling a bit 'not-pregnant-enough-yet'. DP came on quite strong about risk of MCing so hardly telling anyone (also I have a DSD and DSS - not telling them til after the first scan when we know for sure for sure). But doctor didn't even mention it, so I'm hoping that the risk is quite small really. Not feeling particularly preggers either - just big boobs and quite tired. No nausea.
How nice to think we'll all be in this together until next July!

winjy · 24/11/2009 18:35

i hope im with u until july!!

im 5 weeks now...due 29th july!!

had mc in july this year tho so early days but i am quietly excited!!

hanging tired, sore boobs, feeling sick and dizzy so i dont mind feeling like shit as long as whats inside me stays there and grows big and strong!!

be nice if we all go together!! xx

Fayzal · 24/11/2009 21:17

It's my first time on MN so don't understand all the acronyms yet but hope to be with you all in July! Due on 10th if all goes well.

I'm 8 weeks now and have an 14 month old son. Feeling so sick all the time since 3 weeks in, it's wearing me down. Any good remedies? Can't stomach ginger tea, which is what worked last time.

I'm very worried how I'm going to cope with two but excited at the same time. Not getting hopes too high though as two close friends just had miscarriages.

Limelight · 25/11/2009 11:20

Touch wood but sickness isn't so bad for me this time (last time around was DREADFUL! I was sick until he was born pretty much). Ginger tea didn't work for me either. Grapefruit gave me a little bit of relief (no idea why), but other than that I existed on foxes glacier mints, apples, and plain baked potatoes. And cried quite a lot.

My major bleuuurrrrggghhh trigger this time around is milk which is slightly irritating as I'm a big tea drinker. Can't quite work out what to replace it with - I'm not really into infusions etc to be honest and so I'm drinking a lot of hot ribena which just isn't working for me. Clearly I have some sort of emotional tie to hot drinks. Any ideas gratefully received.

But no milk [pops out to throw up...]

Dairylea · 25/11/2009 12:46

Hi Limelight - what about Earl Grey - tastes OK without milk? Maybe just add a little bit of honey. I'm addicted to PG Tips Green Tea with a bit of honey and I normally hate green tea (this one doesn't have that horrid tannin taste) and I'm not so good with infusions. Although Whittards do these quite lovely granule tea things that dissolve in hot water - bit sugary but you can get grown up flavours, which are not as sweet as hot ribena.

Dairylea · 25/11/2009 12:48

(I've just realised that this thread is for the second baby July bus.....whoops. So I'd probably better disembark. If anyone wants to find me I'm with the July baby antenatal club on the other thread )

Fayzal · 26/11/2009 19:35

Hi, Thanks Limelight, I'll try grapefruit, I'm out for trying anything at the moment. I bought some travel bands today from boots so I'm giving them a try too. Fingers crossed! I feel like crying too but sobbing while trying to teach a class of 30 children isn't a good look, so I'm holding back!

Without making you need to run to the loo, is it the look or taste of milk. I ask as I know you can get powdered milk (not baby stuff, real milk). If not I used to drink tea with no milk I just had to make it really weak, so you could just about see the bottom of the mug still.

MarianneM · 26/11/2009 22:55

I'm due on 12th July, and have a 12-month-old DD. Going back to work on Monday...and feel sooooo sick, much worse than last time. Still very happy to be expecting. Is it possible to tell the sex of the baby at the 12-week scan?

LouLouH · 27/11/2009 13:38

Can i join the club!
Due on 12th July. Already have DD 5yrs.
Sailed through pregnancy with her and now half dead with this one! Tiredness is aweful, im asleep on the sofa by 7, DH tries to wake me up and ends up with head bitten off! When does the tiredness stop, nothing seems to get done. I finish work and collapse. lol.

lovechoc · 27/11/2009 13:47

due 13th july, already have DS 2.6yo. feel like crap but that's reassuring. makes me think everything's going as it should for now. anyone got a scan date yet? am trying to wait patiently....

LouLouH · 27/11/2009 15:03

Scan date is 22nd December for me. Can't wait. Doesn't seem real to me until i see them on the screen.

Limelight · 29/11/2009 22:33

Hi everyone. Crazy week at work so I've been neglecting my MN responsibilities!

Milk - it's the look, taste, thought, very existence of the stuff that bothers me. Have bought some green tea and am doing the honey thing too (thanks for the suggestion!)

Sickness has properly kicked in now - I think I was being a bit ambitious in my last post. I'm being positive though. I got through it last time and my gorgeous DS was worth it. It DOES end. As with last time, it's round the clock consumption of foxes glacier mints which seems to work!! Weird!

Hope you're all doing ok!
