tee ah yes, the rooms they have are for rooming in for parents taking their LO home. What a shame nothing for you to be near to him. They do have a room though where you can express your milk and a fridge to keep the milk in don't they?
Brilliant news that he's off the O2. Knew it wouldn't be long. He was only in a whiff of it anyway Why did they do a lumbar puncture on him? Were they looking for something in particular? Usually infection markers can be found in their blood sample that they take for blood gasses. Anyway, at least they've found something. What are they doing about it? Will they start him on IV antibiotics?
At least he's sucking on his dummy which is a good sign that he might be getting ready for a bottle/breast. When are they going to try him? Mind you, if he's got an infection, they may wait until it's gone. I found with K she was like this; you have to get rid of this, before this can happen, then this outcome! It's like one of those puzzles where you have to slide the tiles to make the picture but all the tiles are in the wrong place It'll come good very soon.
Well I'm phoning this morning for a place at the softplay group. You have to phone a week in advance to get a place and even then it's not guaranteed. If you don't phone before 9am then you won't get a place - I'm told. I've also got her name down for baby signing classes and am on a waiting list. I'm amazed at the classes they are running near to me and only found out the other day when my HV mentioned it. We've got, apart from the ones I've mentioned, La Leche League, NCT, mother and baby, baby massage etc. Am quite impressed. No wonder they have waiting lists for everything!
mrsjupiter I also knit but alas, not picked up my needles in a good few months. Last things I made were some bootees for K. I used to knit a lot in the past and all my boys action men were well dressed in knitted uniforms. Not trendy nor army regulation but when they lost their real uniforms, knitted was the replacement Also did the dolly clothes and their Thomas the Tank jumpers which they all still remember with affection It's not sad at all and I'm not surprised it's 'on trend'.
I think we're having the yank and the manc around on sunday for lunch. From what I can gather, DD#1 has told him all about her mother's 'ledgendary sunday lunch' () complete with Yorkshire puddings. These of course are totally alien to him as they don't have them across the pond so I'm to make them for his first taste Awwwww. Sweet.
