i'm pg with my 3rd and have had this each time. its easy to get scared and panick at any slightest thing with your first... i did! you wont know what to expect

i had this for about 3 dyas and best i cld descirbe it as was period pains!

i wld only worry if they became very painful and you startto bleed at all.

hope that helps? im also 7 weeks i think now will check that lol whats due date?

auntypurple · 03/05/2009 19:04

Hi i'm pg with my 4th and also 7 weeks and having mild cramps same as you. I know my baby is ok as I had an early scan last week and saw the hb. It's perfectly normal to have mild cramps, my stomach also feels heavy. Try not to worry, easier said than done I know. Congratulations.

I had this too. I didn't with first baby but am PG now and had period pain that felt like it was behind my belly button.

Pain was so bad a few times that I had to go and check I hadn't started bleeding.

I did have a few small bleeds too but everything was fine.

I'm now 30wks PG.

I think it is just your bady stretching and you can ache if it's the time of your period and stuff.

I know it's scary but you're body will soon tell you if something serious is wrong.

Good luck

Hi I am new to this site. Had my 1st child 8 years ago and I am about 6/7 weeks now with 2nd...it's like learning all over again.

I have noticed slight cramp pains on and off though, but it is usually when I have wind or constipation, I have IBS anyway and these hormone changes do not help!!

I am not worried too much, and I am thankful I have read all your responses.

Good luck everyone x

lol at least you know it will happen very very soon! do u have a induction day?

tessofthedurbervilles · 04/05/2009 21:31

I had period cramps at 6 weeks - was convinced it was my period (unplanned pg) and was even using tampons and towels as was convinced was coming on. Only when I threw up at the smell of curry sauce and chips did I chuck out the tampax and buy a clear blue!

hannahlouiseb · 06/05/2009 10:43

Hi all, I went to the doctors yesterday because im a natural worrier i worry about anything lol anyway she has sent me for a scan which is 2moro but the only thing is today i have no stomach ache. Is it normal for the cramps to stop suddenly?

hannahlouiseb - I am 5+3 and have this also, it comes and goes, depending on what I'm doing, and also with a young toddler, whether I have time to notice!

Hope your scan goes well.

hannahlouiseb · 06/05/2009 10:51

Oh thats good im hoping it goes well to, I just spoke to my friend who had hers last week and apparently she had to wait ages.

Pinkjenny · 06/05/2009 11:18

Please come back and let us know how it goes.

madmissy · 06/05/2009 18:12

yes they stop as easy as they start!

Pinkjenny · 07/05/2009 15:08

How did it go hannah?

hannahlouiseb · 08/05/2009 11:57

It went well i think! it turns out my nurse was wrong. Im only 4 weeks i had a blood test to see if it was eptopic or if i had a water infection had my results this morning and its not eptopic and i dont have a water infection so im going for another scan on friday it's in the uterus so its all looking good i think. i have no idea what to expect it's my first pregnancy so im hoping it all look ok so far.

I keep getting this! On Tuesday I had a really bad period pain, and back ache. But no period. Lesser pain yesterday. No period. Today I feel a bit weird. I don't have any other symptoms, but have been struggling to remember exactly when my last period was. Certainly before Easter. I'm never sure if I'm just peri-menopausal. I better get a test I suppose.....

hannahlouiseb · 08/05/2009 12:31

I would

Porto - get thee to a chemist immediately!

Hannah - that's great news, glad they are taking your concerns so seriously! I spoke to the midwife last night who didn't seem in the least bit interested!
