hmm.

The others look very clearly positive. I don't know what the possibilities are but I know if you have a positive and then a negative it might mean a very very early m/c or similar - is it called a chemical pregnancy?

I don't know what to suggest but I'm sure others will have good advice.

Why don't you go and buy a digital test? I know they are more expensive, but at least the result will be clearer. I could definitiely see a line on your other tests, although it was very feint.

In all honesty, its much more likely for you to get a 'false negative' test then to get a false positive,

For you to get a negative (when you REALLY ARE pregnant) you could ...

-not wee'd enough on the stick,

  • have your wee too dilute
-have a dud stick

and many more reasons

To get a pink line you HAVE to have HCG in your wee,

unless you are on certain fertility drugs (which I assume you are not!) then there is really no way a pink line could have come up.

I would suggest buying a first response test and doing it first thing tomorrow morning.

I used my first wee of the morning because my friend told me to (she was TTC!!) and that was the neg test, that one I posted was done as an afternoon wee and the other one that could have been a line (it was very faint but blue not grey?) was an afternoon wee.

I have had a chemical pregnancy before, hm.

I need to shower but I might pop to boots in a bit but £10 for a post test is so much money if I am not

No leave the posh tests just get a twin pack from lloyds chemist or something for 5 quid. We're just checking this one wasn't a dud stick really.

I agree it does sound possible that the test stick this morning was a dud. You said so yourself, you did a test before the one you've shown in the pic and a line appeared.

I agree with others, it's either a dud test or a chemical pregnancy. But I think you definitely need to re test.

sorry to say this smurfgirl but I had about 6 negative tests and I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant.

Have you done another test since your earlier post today?

Yes I went to Boots and bought one and that was 100% negative. So 2 negatives today so I think no baby? (hopeful!)

I am late late - my friend suggested I may have ovulated late but I don't think thats possible. I hadn't really noticed I was so late until I went to the Drs this week to go back on the pill and they said to take it on the first day of my period.

I am having some cramps like my period is coming so maybe I am just crazy late from stress or something.

smurf, re your friend, i always OV day 13/14

when DD was concieved I ovulated day 21,.... no idea why?? so i didn't get a + until 8 days after i thought i should have.

strange about the neg test,

think you should have waited tillthe morning.

i hope it is a real neg if thats what you want x

Its a pack of two so will test again in the am to make sure.

But I am late so surely I should be showing on a test any time of the day, i would be like 6 weeks pregnant if I was! I have no idea when I ovulate because well, I am useless. My cycles are around 30-35 days.

I would wait a week before testing again. If you can wait.

I had a faint +ve the month before conceiving DS2 and my period then arrived about 4 days late - I assume this was an early miscarriage. It is, I guess, possible that you were pregnant at some point but aren't any more and HCG levels have dropped. It's worth checking out if you're really late.

I have no idea whats going on tbh, will give test to my friend to hide for me and then test in a week if no period.

Is it worth going to drs about a missed period or is it just one of those things?

No period, felt sick this morning as well, have had cramps wake me up yesterday and today so I am going to see the nurse this afternoon! I was supposed to start taking the pill this month so I wanted to see what was happening before starting it.

She sent a sample off so then if thats negative I can just start the pill on Wednesday.

I thought I missed a period in January but I had taken the morning after pill that month (am usually more reliable with my contraception!) and it mucked up my cycle and I got my dates wrong so I did eventually have a period but was not this 'late' when I started and then I came on regularly the next month and the one after.

Still no period so maybe I just didn't ovulate and the test was wrong?
