How far gone are you? I'm nearly 16 weeks with my 2nd, and have felt a few little flutters and twitches but can't be sure if they were the baby or my imagination.

stuffedfullofturkey · 08/01/2009 00:07

sorry i will be 10 weeks friday by the way

realtai · 08/01/2009 00:09

Oooops sorry new to this. . . I dont know apparently it would just be bigger then ur fingernail at this stage so it would have to be a hell of a kick

xxhunnyxx · 08/01/2009 00:11

How many weeks are u? I posted the same question a week or so ago, I'm 14+2 weeks now and I started feeling little 'strokes' at about 13 weeks and now I feel very definite flutters, feels like a butterfly.
I say ignore what the professionals say, u can defo feel it before they say ur supposed to. Enjoy x

stuffedfullofturkey · 08/01/2009 00:11

but i swear i wasnt imagining it!!!!!!!!!! im not crazy i swear!!!!!!!!!!

I think you're probably imagining it at 10 weeks, the baby will be very small and you wouldn't be able to feel it I don't think.

I've had a lot of little muscle twitches that feel like kicks, it could be that.

xxhunnyxx · 08/01/2009 00:13

Then again 10 weeks would be very very early, r u sure ur maybe not a few weeks further on than u think u r?

stuffedfullofturkey · 08/01/2009 00:17

i was wondering that because of a funny peiod

17 weeks is an average time to start feeling kicks, because it takes until then for the feet to be large enough to make an impact big enough for you too feel.

I felt actual kicks at 17 weeks with both my pregnancies, although I felt "movement" as early as 11 weeks. So I think that could be from fluids, or even a whole little body spasming/jerking, but not from a foot IWSWIM? They're way too small.

stuffedfullofturkey · 08/01/2009 00:21

does this sound like a normal period because i have thought nothing of it untill when i first thought i could feel something. Usually when my period comes its 4 days usually and quite heavy and steady 4 3 days or so then eases of last day, 1st november period came as spotting went for a day then came back a little bit for a daty or so (nowhere near as heavy as usual though) didnt take a pregnancy test untill id missed decembers period by 2 days or so bacause i felt really pregnant. is there a chance i could be further along??? i havn't seen a midwife yet as i am waiting on them contacting me now and they dont see you at my doctors untill you're 10 weeks.

yes lotster i can see what you mean maybe its a whole body spasm but i just didnt think at nearly 10 weeks it was possible to feel anything???? unless i have my dates wrong and im actually a month further along which would put me at almost 14 weeks! oh i hope i do have my dates wrong now!!!

I felt DS2 and 3 very occasionaly kicking around 13/14 weeks - but I'm a short arse so my uterus pops out from under my pelvic bone pretty quickly when I'm pg.

nappyaddict · 08/01/2009 00:50

I felt movement at 12 weeks with DS

BlueSapphire77 · 08/01/2009 00:53

Subsequent pg's when you know what you're expecting to feel, i guess you are going to feel them sooner, i mist certainly did with my 2nd and now this one. Thought i was mental anyway though

andaSOLOnewyear · 08/01/2009 01:15

Stuffed! that is exactly how my pg with Dd was...you may be further along than you thought!

lou33 · 08/01/2009 01:50

i felt one of mine at 10 weeks

carried on getting stronger and stronger and my due date was right

Jackaroo · 08/01/2009 04:58

I definitely felt "something" at 10.5 weeks. Doctor said that whilst this was theoretically not feasible, he's had many women saying they've felt some fluttering this early. I agree that I think it's just general activity rather than a Beckham shot :-)

fourlittlefeet · 08/01/2009 05:12

I felt mine at 13 weeks, definitely!

electra · 08/01/2009 05:30

I felt kicks from very early in this pregnancy - definitely by 13 weeks and a little before.

walkinthewoods · 08/01/2009 06:05

SFOT

I reakon you are further on and your funny period was implantation bleeding. I had this with both of mine. #1 was like the start of a period and a very light bleed for a day and the other was 1 episode of spotting then nothing.

I felt #2 more quickly at around 15 wks if I remember rightly.

I'd mention it to mw and see if you can get a dating scan. This would make you 14 weeks?

shabster · 08/01/2009 07:22

I felt my twins move from about 11 weeks - sure there is only one baby in there

betsyboo · 08/01/2009 10:33

I felt flutters at 12 weeks, this is my 3rd so just assumed that it's because the feeling is familiar and also its more 'baggy' in there! Am 14 weeks now and definately feeling movement.
