johnworf · 10/01/2009 14:00

mrsb you can email me on queensbishop5 at hotmail with the necessary 'com' and a dot afore it

DH is a qualified maths teacher so leaving it up to him!

mrsboogie · 10/01/2009 14:21

will do jw

is he? oooh. handy!

hedgepig · 10/01/2009 15:34

all this talk of maths has anyone ever found a use for calculus in real life??? maths is not my strong point at all, DH loves maths and will even read books on it for pleasure (when not reading books on hoverflies )so all maths tuition is up to him I have decided.

Hope you are all well, I haven't posted for a couple of days, I just manage to read through everything and then I get distracted and don't manage to write anything. So think you for all your lovely comments about how sweet young O looks.

MrsB may I ask what you bad incident on facebook was?? If you can't get hold of JW on that email address, I should have the mumsnet email thing set up so you could try me via there.

Tee2072 · 10/01/2009 16:26

Anyone who wants to reach me, for facebook or anything can email me at tee AT leyser DOT org.

Yes, Tee really is my name. Well, the nickname my niece gave me when she was learning to talk. We think it was short for auntie!

And, no hedgepig, I have never used calculus in real life. Of course I am the sort who needs a calculator to figure 2 +2 without paper.

mrsboogie · 10/01/2009 16:46

I have used it - yonks ago in a sciencey context - but I guess that isn't real life.

will email you also tee have looked at your blog so I now what your "real" name is - are you called tee in RL then?

well the embarrassing incident *hedgepig" was that I set up a facebook account once when my sis was here visiting and we were a bit tiddly and I put lots of funny stuff in like I like to dress up in corsets and high heels in my spare time - I haven't a clue about these networking sites and don't use it much as you will see. Then I forgot about it until I got a friend request from someone in my gmail address book. It was a bloke I worked with but had had to email from a personal account once for some reason. I didn't mean to add him but I guess I did 'cos next time I looked at my fb there he was - a lovely pic of him stood atop a mountain and him now one of my friends and able to read all the shite I had written. I deleted the account and him and swore never to do it again!

Tee2072 · 10/01/2009 16:48

My family calls me Tee, mrsB. So its like a family nickname!

ermintrude13 · 10/01/2009 16:54

mrsb, explanations of calculus are waaaay beyond me. I did like algebra and geometry though. And after years of thinking I was v average at maths, when I had to learn book-keeping and accounting for arts management jobs, it turned out that some applied maths was a joy - in fact I came to love doing the books because it was one of those rare opportunities to work on something finite and perfect and then draw a line under it. Sad, really.

Facebook, pah, new-fangled nonsense, it won't catch on you know. (Well, I had to draw a line somewhere, otherwise I'd spend whole days playing online Scrabble with my sisters and poking people I used to know, and never get any work done. It's bad enough with email and MN distracting me. )

Tee2072 · 10/01/2009 19:20

ermintrude I love you. Your answer to you know who on the June thread was perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I can't stand that woman!

hedgepig · 10/01/2009 20:17

I just went for a peek @ the aforementioned thread, good grief is all I can say!

ermintrude13 · 10/01/2009 20:18

OMG Tee, she does make me fume. She sent a reply and I've just hammered off another and hope that will be an end of it. But really! A bit of healthy debate is good, but when people start saying 'rubbish' it's a bit much - and childbirth is such a different experience for different people.

This thread is such a sanctuary - lots of different opinions but all expressed in good spirit and with room for everyone. THANK YOU LADIES

Tee2072 · 10/01/2009 20:29

Amen ermintrude!! I try to like everyone, but man is she annoying!

Tee2072 · 10/01/2009 20:30

Not the end, BTW, she's beating a dead horse.

hedgepig · 10/01/2009 21:38

I just had these for tea, very yummy - Not really diet food but hey! it's Saturday night .
here

DH has gone out so I'm in charge of 2 sleeping children (hurrah for sleeping) but I have to do the washing up boo.

I'm too scared to look at the June thread

johnworf · 10/01/2009 21:45

hedgepig that recipe sounds lovely Sadly I won't be partaking. Not yet anyway. Let me shift some lb's then maybe!

All quiet at worf towers tonight. Saturday tv is really pants so think we'll get out the canasta Roll n roll huh?

June thread sounds a hoot. Not looked at it due to apathy but I like the commentary on here of the evil poster! There's always at least one. As you say, none on here. I think the wisdom of age (no, stop laughing. I'm trying to be serious ) we know better than that.

hedgepig · 10/01/2009 22:09

hmmm wisdom of age...it could be or it could be we are too knackered for a fight

we are down to one sleeping child Oliver seems to want a bottle every hour this evening.

mrsboogie · 10/01/2009 22:19

Happily no one on this thread feels they have a point to prove or that they must leap to judge anyone else.

Aaarrgggh OH has just opened a tin of yummy biscuits that survived Christmas. Boo hoo. None for me

hedgepig · 10/01/2009 22:32

we are so lovely!

biscuits who needs them, they are for wimps. I finally found my davina dvd at the back of the cupboard, cripes I ache today. I went up the school to get B afterwards all red faced (even after a shower) I must have looked awful.

I can't find a reasonably priced wii it any where only ones where cheeky shops have added an extra £30+ or are bundling with stuff I don't want boo

mrsboogie · 10/01/2009 22:34

mmm hedgepig they are hard to get but jw got one last week - she might be able to point you in the right direction...

hedgepig · 10/01/2009 22:41

MrsB i think she got it from asda, but they don't have any online. Oh well I'm sure davina will keep me on my toes. night night

johnworf · 11/01/2009 07:28

hedgepig there's lots in the shops just none online. Phone up your local supermarket; ASDA, Morrisons, Tesco et al. They all do them and you may have to try a couple of the stores as they differ from store to store on stock.

OOOh what a bugger opening biscuits! Actually I think I'm all chocolate/biscuited out now. Not been hunting them down at all and it's even period time when I'd kill for a Twix

hedgepig might be we're too knackered for a fight

hedgepig · 11/01/2009 07:36

yawn, thanks JW I will have a ring around.

Tee2072 · 11/01/2009 07:38

Okay, I just went off on her, because she will not let it go! I swear she's never heard of an actual book and thinks everything is found online.

What a cow!

Oh and good morning!

johnworf · 11/01/2009 08:04

Whaaa?? Who? When? Take it this is the June thread woman tee? Sounds like a loon and needs to be avoided. Do NOT feed the trolls!

Glad to see I'm not the only one up early. K decided she wanted milk at 5.45am and now of course, she's back in her cot snoozing away while I'm up

hedgepig I'm sure you'll find one instore dear. Just a faff sourcing it but there seems to be more stock now xmas is gone. Btw, it's ASDA Living shops that seem to stock this.
