Have taken the plunge, hope this is acceptable to everybody.

mrsb yep, it'll be going off your OH's weight and his profile! I put all my details in and put a password in so no one can see it apart from me. I haven't hula-ed yet but I think I'll be giving that one a go. Did an awful lot of slalom skiing last night but myself and DH are hotly competing and it's no holds barred

Been flirting with the sadistic bitch that goes by the name of Davina this morning. God, that woman is The Punisher. I'm waiting for your stint with her mrsb to give me your verdict.

DH very kindly (and without asking) bought me a yoga mat y'day so that's had an airing.

Can't help out with stats on tests as never had any of the tests. Ignorance was bliss!

Sorry to hear the girls are off colour today JJ. Sending them big get well thoughts and hopefully they'll be up and about and back to crayoning on the walls/pooing goodstyle very soon I'm afraid going to nursery is where Iris will pick up everything that's going and of course, pass the lurgy onto Verity.

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 12:04

hmmm didnt realise you could password protect it jw might give that a go.

Davina plopped through my letterbox this morning and I am scared to even open the package for fear of catching a glimpse of that six pack! Oddly enough hoola-hooping seems much more appealing to me right now. Nevertheless I will give her a go later and report back.

Aye jj hope its summat and nowt with the girls. Not looking forward to that aspect of sending D to nursery. Which reminds me - we have now reached a compromise with the MiL - 2 days with her, one day at nursery, and one day each with me and OH at home on shortened hours or working from home. Which means overall he will be with one or other or both parents four days out of seven which I think is good.

jeanjeannie · 07/01/2009 12:18

Girls are not doing too badly thanks - Verity just wants BOOBIES and Iris wants to loll about in a floppy manner!

OOoooo Jw & mrsB t'was the hula Wii fit that sent my friend into spasms Apparently it is quite demanding. Oh I soooo wish our telly would blow up. I want a Wii (petulant emoticon) but our tv is only just big enough that we can read sub-titles! But we're too tight to get rid just so we can upgrade!

jeanjeannie · 07/01/2009 13:16

Ok - so, I've actually checked my height and I'm 0.5cm shorter than I thought. I've relooked at the charts and my BMI is 28 - and it's 30 for obese. Feel a tad better now especially as I've shrunk

Forgot that our mates are coming over tonight with an authentic home-made curry....eekk...best not eat and thrash out 20mins on stepper!

johnworf · 07/01/2009 13:18

JJ there are some really good deals on tv's at the mo. Not trying to persuade you or anything but if you are contemplating, nows the time. I wish we'd waited as we would have saved a lot but our tv (which was a tiny portable) packed up.

M&S getting rid today. Wonder who it'll be tomorrow.

We got K's blue badge today. Apparently been ready since October but they never got around to letting us know

mrsb go on. Bite the bullet and get her out of the box Btw, there is no way I'd let DH see me doing it with Davina. I have no co-ordination. I remind myself of the hippo in Fantasia doing the pirouetting. She's there all lean and brown in her co-ordinating gym kit and I'm there in fat pants and my slippers

JJ your girls sound like my DH

johnworf · 07/01/2009 13:20

hahahaha jj that was really bad timing on the curry front. Mind you, if you eat a really hot one you'll have what Verity had i.e. a bum explosion thereby missing out on the calories. Sort of like a home made laxative

You've shrunk? Isn't that what old ladies do?? (runs for cover)

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 13:27

aye, just waiting for my porridge to digest jw little Mr D been demanding today and not had a chance to eat 'til midday.

fook no - I wouldn't let OH see me doing it either - was mortified doing the hula as he was sat behind me looking at my huge arse waggling about!

my BMI is ahem cough cough 35

still, cabbage and white bean soup for dinner today. Virtuous, yes?

blue badge jw?

Tee2072 · 07/01/2009 13:27

Okay, what's a blue badge? Sounds interesting, is it?

Having a crap day at work. Life would be simpler if I was in charge of this office and was allowed to fire. Cuz one girl (not the one I've previously mentioned) would so lose her job after this week.

BonzoDoodah · 07/01/2009 13:43

Good grief you lot can talk (4 pages to get through ... eek!)

jj - the TV size doesn't really matter for the wii (unless it's a tiny portable.) Ours is about 25 inch - nothing special and we can use the wii fine.

I was on the wii at mindnight on Monday ... it was 75 days since I'd been on (eek again) and I'd put on 2lb .... not bad considering I'm now 11+ weeks pg! (already WELL overweight though) .... Ruddy DH though ... he's LOST 4 lb and has a BMI of 22! How? Just how?? It's not fair really.

So Shall I add my weight and show the increase as you are all slimming and I'm ballooning to the size of a zeppelin?

xxxxx stones (a lot of x's) 3 lb.

[licks remaining salt and vinegar McCoys off fingers .... can't understand why I'm so large]

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 13:58

haha bonzodoodah are you me? when I turned the wii on last night it was a very reproachful 75 day since it had last been switched on. Plus my OH 's BMI is 22 also!

and he eats loads and drinks beer

yes, meant to say jj the size of the telly doesn't matter!

jeanjeannie · 07/01/2009 14:24

People with a BMI of 22!!! WRONG! How can you live with these men??!!

JWlol@shrinking due to old age - aye, that'd not escaped me!

I know the size of the telly technically doesn't matter....but....it really is that small that we'd not get the most out of it. Well, that's what my DP say.....MMmmmm...*rubs chin in a quizzical manner and wonders if he's fobbing me off.....

Tee2072 · 07/01/2009 14:37

bonzo, you, me and ermintrude can start our own getting fatter thread!

Tee xxx stone 9lbs

And I just had to convert from kilos to pounds to stones! I think in kilos or pounds, stones are a foreign concept to me!

johnworf · 07/01/2009 14:54

mrsb blue badge for....parking in spaces that are actually near to the supermarket door...those sorts of blue badge. K has qualified for hers and after sitting in someones 'in' tray for 3 months, we picked it up today. It's for her hospital visits though. So we don't have to lug all of her essential equipment from one side of the hospital to the other.

My BMI is 29 so I'm just bubbling under obese category. Aint that just grand? DH is 25 and not sure if that's good, bad or indifferent.

JJ think your OH is telling you porkies?????????

Tee2072 · 07/01/2009 15:03

Actually, that was me, JW. And now I understand. My MIL has one of those! How annoying that it sat around for so long.

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 15:40

Aaah right jw

well fook me if that Davina dvd isn't hard. Oh.My.God. It's based on kickboxing so there's lots of jumping and kicking. Eeeek and eeek again. It's very good though but I had to stop towards the end as D was whinging (phew). It requires co-ordination and balance both of which I am sadly lacking in. Can't jump neither, not without a bra that has been designed by an architect.

Davina does look to be sweating, wobbling and huffing a bit in this one - not sure if that is affectation or what. Will take some time to get the hang of it.

How perfect is her body though jw

BMI of 25 is on the cusp of normal and overweight. so they say. They also say 22 is perfect in terms of health.

jeanjeannie · 07/01/2009 15:50

Oooo - jw you and me 28/29...bubbling under obese....I like that....bubbling under. Ooooo we could go either way - it's nail-biting stuff!

So - 22 is perfection eh. Righty ho - I like a challenge!!

Should be online tax form filling - but can't be bothered ..tee hee.

johnworf · 07/01/2009 15:55

oh no! don't mention the dreaded TAX word! We have to do ours......bah!

Shoulda woulda coulda

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 15:57

I should be doing house work but am having a coffee and then doing a bit of wii hula. After Davina its a breeze!

just need to figure out which controls and which input thingy on the telly to use to swap from ps3 to wii. Can only keep instructions for one of them in my had at any one time .

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 15:57

head

BonzoDoodah · 07/01/2009 16:37

mrsboogie - freaky! Weird was exactly the same number. I'm resolving to do my hula-ing at least a couple of times a week now (when I can stay awake ...Zzzzzzzz) I did get to the top of the scoreboard on the skiing and wobbly table thing though so feeling smug (briefly)

jj - I think he's lying ... is there anyone you know with a wii you can visit and see for yourself? (not that I'm a sales rep for wii people or anything but they are particularly super)

Tee - you're on - we'll work on our gain. Mind you last pg I lost a stone overall! (from weight when became pregnant to weight on giving birth) - very odd. Friends were talking about reaching their pre-preg weight and I was saying nononononono

Tee2072 · 07/01/2009 17:30

bonzo how did you manage that? If you could figure it out, you'd make a fortune as a weight loss guru! The Pregnancy Diet!!!

mrsB in Weight Watchers, housework counts as exercise...something to keep in mind.

johnworf · 07/01/2009 17:49

tee I lost 5.5 kgs from first antenatal weigh in to giving birth. I attribute it to the low GI diet I was on from 16 weeks - 24 weeks with the GD. I'm now back on this. I say 'diet' but it's more changing ones eating habits in line with the advice from dietician at the diabetes clinic.

For anyone with a bit of spare cash lying around, Tesco are offering an instant access internet savings account with an interest rate of 4.5% plus a bonus of 1.5% for a year if opened before end of today. If opened after then it's just the 4.5%. Not bad 6% in these hard times. I opened one today but the website seems rammed and the message on the site was that the phone lines are very busy too. So, if you're interested have a look before it's too late.

tee sex counts too which is probably why I'm a blimp. A small blimp mind.

jeanjeannie · 07/01/2009 18:15

tee am PMSL@ that housework is considered exercise.... No need for a stepper or to go running I guess!

Spare cash......??? Tesco 4.5%!!! *runs off to look down back of sofas...

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 18:15

I'm doing low GI diet too but as you say its not a diet - more an alternative eating plan for ever. I didn't put on any weight during pregnancy but have out on a stone in the four months since then! Imagine I kept going at that rate?

mrsboogie · 07/01/2009 18:16

oh yes housework burns lots of calories!
