I'm 34 weeks now and have had a pretty easy pregnancy and have mostly enjoyed it. However I've decided this week that there are 2 things I really can't wait for:
1 - being able to relax comfortably on the sofa
2 - have a really satisfying wee
(oh, and obviously meeting my baby, becoming a mum etc goes without saying - I'm not that heartless! )

Oh - the weeing I can definitely relate to, constantly trotting off to the loo to do disappointing little dribbles. I would also add:

  1. Not being pummelled internally at all hours of day and night (it's like a bag of weasels in there!)
  2. Non-maternity clothes
  3. Heartburn - I was smug about not having this last time and now have had to send DH to shop for Gaviscon

Just 6 weeks to go...

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 14/11/2008 17:09

cant wait to

1 meet my gorgeous baby
2 beable to bend down
3 run up the stairs
4 put socks and black boots on
5 weeing properly

1 having a new life moving around inside me

i have 9 weeks 2 go

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 14/11/2008 17:10

TheProvincialLady · 14/11/2008 17:20
  1. Being able to sleep for longer than 1 hour at a time due to weeing (baby permitting, of course!)
  2. Having a selection of clothes to wear and the trousers actually stay up all by themselves
  3. Not looking like I am about to give birth at any second (am only 34 weeks)
  4. Not having aching hips, back, fanjo

and the most important...

  1. Being able to lie on my stomach in bed and in the bath!
ranirani · 14/11/2008 17:56
  1. Metting my baby and finding out is it a boy or a girl;
2.Getting back to prePG shape and weight and wearing all those jeans I had to put away!
  1. Sleeping at night without all body aching.
  2. being able to dry my feet after having taken shower without having excruciationg sciatica pain!
  3. Having a comfortable wax treatment ( without having to bend my legs like a tarantula)
  4. Control my enormous appetite!
  5. being less clingy and needy, more active and happy: BEING MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!... FINALLY
GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 14/11/2008 20:39

ceebee74 · 14/11/2008 21:03

Mine are pretty similar to everyone elses tbh

  1. Wearing normal clothes without spending my life pulling my pants up and my tops down 2)Sleep without constantly waking up to turn over as my hips hurt
  2. Lying on my back in bed
  3. Very cold bottle of lovely white wine
  4. Rare steaks
  5. Being able to bend down to pick things up off the floor/put shoes on/painting my toenails
  6. Being able to shave my own fanjo

What I am not looking forward to is my spots coming back - the only time I don't have spots is when pg!!

I could live quite happily if I never had to swig from a bottle of Gaviscon again (is it just me or is it really reminiscent of swallowing something else

Being able to sit DS on my knee and being able to play wrestle him without telling him to mind the baby!

stripeywoollenhat · 14/11/2008 21:12

properly hot baths
putting on shoes without sounding like an overexcited gloucester old spot
no more heartburn
beer, wine and blue cheese

i would add proper sleep but i don't imagine it's that likely after pregnancy either....

and obviously, meeting my little one

Littlemisskiwi · 15/11/2008 04:48

1 - Meeting the wonderful baby that I am still being sick for
2 - pate, blue runny cheese, cured ham, brie, green tea, wine, real coffee
3 - getting my old taste buds back
4- not feeling so tired and hormonally tearful
5- hot steamy spas
6 - not worrying about how the next four months and labour are going to go, because I will have done it :-)
7 - eventually getting all my sexy bras and nice size 8 clothes out again.

Am 23 weeks

Tinkerisdead · 15/11/2008 10:40

im overdue and i cant wait for (baby aside)

  1. to be able to flex in the middle! 2)to be able to put my knickers on without having to actually lassoo them over my toes! 3)to be able to lie back in the bath without fear of being stuck or drowning when i realise i have no tummy muscles to get back up!
Cosmogirl · 15/11/2008 13:01

Oh I like this thread. Mine would be:

  • No more nausea and sickness
  • Enjoying a nice alcohol beverage
  • Not having to grunt and groan like an old lady when I get up off the sofa and bend down
  • Being able to lift stuff
  • Getting my normal appetite, taste buds back
  • Not having to go wee every 5 seconds
  • Sleeping on front and sleeping comfortably

Will miss:

  • My new found cleavage
  • errr.......that's about it!

Cosmo 20 weeks

expatinscotland · 15/11/2008 14:52

just gave birth 11 days ago and am loving:

lying on my front
seeing my feet/being able to paint my toenails well
no more heartburn
being able to roll around in bed with no pain
wearing all sorts of clothes not just the same ol' maternity stuff over and over
being able to bend over and walk as i please
my bras!

this is our last baby, so i'm looking forward to the moment the anaesthetic injects the GA into my cannula and i wake up sterilised.
