I'm 34 weeks now and have had a pretty easy pregnancy and have mostly enjoyed it. However I've decided this week that there are 2 things I really can't wait for:
1 - being able to relax comfortably on the sofa
2 - have a really satisfying wee
(oh, and obviously meeting my baby, becoming a mum etc goes without saying - I'm not that heartless! )

bending over
getting to gaze at beautiful new born
peanut butter
being able to roll over in bed minus agonising spd
no debilatating afternoon exhaustion
and of course wine

expatinscotland · 15/11/2008 15:05

i thought i'd crave wine again, but tbh i can sort of take it or leave it.

ceedub · 15/11/2008 15:21

I fantasise about:

  1. sleeping on my stomach
  2. having a choice of more than 2 outfits
  3. eating oysters
  4. sharing a bottle of chilled dry white wine over a lovely dinner with my dp and getting slightly tipsy

am 25 weeks, so long way to go before birth...and even then, who knows how long???

babylove123 · 15/11/2008 15:34

Not needing a wee every 5 minutes.

Not screaming in pain when the baby decides to have a "moment".

Being able to sleep on my tummy again!

Being able to move without being in agony with my hips.

Having contractions that actually have meant something!

Not feeling so bloody miserable!

DRIVING!

Lol, thats a few

kerala · 15/11/2008 15:46

Dont know how anyone sleeps on their stomach with a newborn. DO your boobs not hurt?!

TheProvincialLady · 15/11/2008 16:28

Mine didn't last time. I used to throw myself on the bed face down on purpose, just because I could

FlirtyThirty · 15/11/2008 16:32

  1. Meeting the baby of course
  2. Not weeing every 2 seconds
  3. Being able to drink without needing a wee 2 seconds later
  4. Being able to shave my legs
  5. Seeing my feet.

I will miss all the wriggling and movements.

I will also miss discussing all our symptoms with the lovely ladies in Due Dec 08 but we can all discuss babies instead!!!

sorkycake · 23/11/2008 21:40
  1. Vigorous sex
  2. Running
  3. Getting my skinny self back
  4. Dancing round the room like a loon to music with the kids
  5. Sleeping on my stomach
  6. Breastfeeding, I love it.

I'm also looking forward to being sterilised Expat.

mrsgboring · 24/11/2008 09:12

Not being nauseous
Having my normal appetite back and enjoying cooking again
Eating parma ham and all other deli meats
Alcohol
Rare steak
Blue cheese
Having my mind back and being able to read
Wearing baby in a sling (and toddler too if I want to)
BFing not being excruciating (BF when PG hurts)

But most of all, number one (assuming this baby is okay): Being able to check in thirty seconds every time I start worrying that the baby has died.

Will miss having an excuse for no waist. Errr that's it.

lilymolly · 24/11/2008 09:28

seeing my baby
Not having heartburn
Lying on my tummy
Riding my horse

Sorry but maybe its cos this is second baby, and I am slightly more relaxed... but I am still eating, pate, prawns, mussels etc

I too really hope breastfeeding is not horrednously painful this time around

emma2617 · 24/11/2008 10:36

Have had a real giggle as I read this!! I am 30 weeks, first dc, I am looking forward to

  • meeting the little thing in person
  • turning easily in bed
  • putting on shoes/socks/tights without sounding like I am 80
  • not walking like Mrs Overall (spd)
  • not having heartburn/hourly gaviscon
  • being able to drink enough wine (or indeed any alcohol at all!!)to get some effect from it
  • never thought I would say it but, having sex in the missionary position again!
BUT I will miss the wriggling inside me. And sleep, probably.
