Bear with me on this one, I've never gone into labour before....it sounds promising, right?

Should I ring DH?

Should I put my (2 hour journey away) childcare on standby?

MamaG · 03/11/2008 15:11

you sound exactly the same way i did with ds. the day before he was born it was everything all at once and the only thing i wanted to eat were carbs-maybe that's a sign for you as well? the contractions really started up at about 2:30 am and he was born at 4:23 pm so you could be on your way! take a nice looooooong walk to keep things going

MamaG · 03/11/2008 15:15

I tweaked all the way through the DVD! Sore now so have stopped

Going to waddle into town after collecting DC from school, hoping that will start something, anything

I think that subconsciously I was jealous of expat and that caused the show!

sounds like me. Mine started dsunday night the stopped at midnight till about 6am then kept getting erratic contractions from 10am. HAd Joshua at 3.45pm. So hopefully you will have had baby in next 24 hours. A walk slowed mine down though.

numptysmummy · 03/11/2008 15:23

DON'T get in the bath. Mine stopped completely when i did. Some labours are very erratic and contractions don't always get stronger and closer until the very end - dc4 was all over the place until hlf an hr before i delivered.

MamaG · 03/11/2008 15:24

I haven't actually had any contractions

I'm going ot walk into town with DC, buy a big bag of grapes and eat them all, have curry for tea and sex with DH.

No more nipple twiddling (ouch)!

numptysmummy · 03/11/2008 15:28

Well,a a show is a good start - even without contractions something positive is happening.

Neeerly3 · 03/11/2008 15:48

am jealous of curry and sex!

still bouncing mamaG?

Nbg · 03/11/2008 15:50

You obviosuly provide a very lovely home MG

I went shopping the day I had ds2 and he was born 3 hours later.

misdee · 03/11/2008 15:51

MaureenMLove · 03/11/2008 16:07

How exciting! I have been here in spirit all day, gagging to get home to post actually! Kbear informed me of the impending news.

Good luck petal.

needmorecoffee · 03/11/2008 16:23

did you get the email mamaG
Or having walked into town, did you have the baby in a shop?

mum2jakeyroo · 03/11/2008 16:26

if thats the case nmc lets hope she's picked a decent shop that will give her vouchers when her waters break!!!

largeginandtonic · 03/11/2008 16:28

Thank you for the Expat update MamaG

I have everything crossed for you. I remember the nipple stim, i used to flinch in the end it got so sore.

My last 3 have been late so i expect i will have a similar thread in 10 weeks.

It always amazes me that you can doing such ordinary things and then a few hours (minutes for some of us ) you can be sat there holding your long awaited for baby. It is truely bizzare.

Hope the grapes and walk do something

Neeerly3 · 03/11/2008 16:31

she's been quiet for a while.......

MamaG · 03/11/2008 16:36

nmc I didn't get the email! I've left the payee blank on the cheque and addressed the envelope to the name that comes up on your email! Should be fine

Nothing, nada, absolutely sod all happening (and prob won't be postinga gain today, DH home and he does tend to twitch if I'm on Mn too much hehe) so if you don't hear, assume nowt happening

OP posts:
Neeerly3 · 03/11/2008 16:57

largeginandtonic · 03/11/2008 16:59

largeginandtonic · 03/11/2008 16:59

You need rhubarb. The fruit, not the MNer!
