Tinksmum has texted me from the hospital...

Hi Everyone.

I'm not pregnant myself but I know Tinksmum and she has texted me a couple of hours ago (I was out) with the following:

"Hi [APsmum] I'm at Women's thought I had BH but I'm in Labour! They're trying to stop it but it's only slowing down at the moment. Women's NNU is full so waiting for a bed elsewhere. Please can you let MN know. If one of Feb wants my number so they can have updates that's cool, they're mostly on Facebook"

She has also texted me just now (I just arrived home and had switched the laptop on to send this message). She says she's in an ambulance on the way to another hospital now.

Let's hope they can keep little Tink inside for a bit longer. I think she said to me 2 days ago on MSN that she's 24 weeks now?

Thanks for the update. Every day gained is good.

Thinking of you, TBM.

EachPeachPearMum · 20/10/2008 20:12

Still thinking of you here TBM, and hope you're back closer to home soon. Hugs to Tink too, who must be missing you like crazy.

Texted TBM before putting ds to bed to ask how she was. She doesn't think the last tablet worked as she has been having the contractions since noon. She isn't getting any more drugs to stop labour, so if the baby comes, it comes. At least she has had 48 hours for the steroids to work, and they have kept her going for a few more days. Will update if I get any further news.

Latest news:

Still hanging in there. If Birmingham are happy I could be going home (home or the hospital) tomorrow or Thursday. I'm desperate to get out of here now, even if I'm kept in at least it won't put everyone out and they have all my notes! I had a scan today and she's looking good, she's put quite a bit of weight on and is back on her line so one good thing came out of this!

cmotdibbler · 21/10/2008 19:47

Great news that tinytink is growing well, and staying put. May she stay in there for a few weeks yet.

Thinking of them all

dinkystinky · 22/10/2008 08:48

Fab news that Tiny Tink is staying put for now and has had a growth spurt - still have everything crossed for TBM and Tiny Tink and hope they get their transfer soon.

I haven't had any updates today...has anyone else?

TinkerBellesMum · 22/10/2008 23:44

Sorry for not updating anyone today we were sent home so I was quite busy with that, also slept when I was left alone today. The night I didn't sleep well I had them put the air con on (the controls were in my room and the fan above my bed) because the next room was complaining, then they came in about two hours later to give me medication, another two hours later they came in to turn it off (about 4am by now) and TBD was snoring all night (he was on two very thin mattresses on the floor so I didn't like to disturb him) I ended up getting up at 6am but they didn't like me being out of my room too much because coming from another hospital I was classed as an MRSA risk! So by 9pm last night I was struggling to stay awake and have hardly been awake since!

I'm still having 3-4 an hour which is exhausting, but I'm not dilating so everyone was happy for me to come home. If it does happen now they won't stop it because she's had all the steroids, so I guess being home doesn't make much difference as long as I go straight in if anything happens. Every day on the inside now gives her a better chance.

It appears that the Midlanders were busy in January this year because the hospital I'm under are over subscribed this month (didn't help Friday was a full moon) they had to find somewhere with a spare NNU bed and all the NNU's in Birmingham were either full or unable to accept a 25 weeker. Liverpool only has one maternity hospital so it's big and has to specialise in neonates which is why they were able to take me in.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts it's been lovely coming home and finding all the messages here for me, knowing that people were thinking of me.
