Hi Everyone.

I'm not pregnant myself but I know Tinksmum and she has texted me a couple of hours ago (I was out) with the following:

"Hi [APsmum] I'm at Women's thought I had BH but I'm in Labour! They're trying to stop it but it's only slowing down at the moment. Women's NNU is full so waiting for a bed elsewhere. Please can you let MN know. If one of Feb wants my number so they can have updates that's cool, they're mostly on Facebook"

She has also texted me just now (I just arrived home and had switched the laptop on to send this message). She says she's in an ambulance on the way to another hospital now.

Let's hope they can keep little Tink inside for a bit longer. I think she said to me 2 days ago on MSN that she's 24 weeks now?

Thinking of Tink and her family, hope mini Tink arrives in a timely and healthy fashion.

LilRedWGoreandguts · 20/10/2008 12:26

My thoughts are with them all. I can't believe Liverpool. I expected you to say Worcester.

LackaDAISYcal · 20/10/2008 13:13

hang in there mini tink.

Another message from TinkerBelle's mum at 9:25am:

"They're stopping the drugs at 5 and if it happens they're going with it now as the steroids will have had over 48 hrs to work."

I replied and asked her how she was feeling and she says she's worn out, had 3-4 contractions an hour and more when the next dose of is due. SHe says she hasn't slept much because they had the aircon on .

So it looks like she'll probably be here sooner rather than later.

I can't believe she's gone to Liverpool either - you really would think that there would be somewhere closer.

when was babytink born? I can't remember. Please send her my love.

MissyK · 20/10/2008 13:44

Hope Tinkerbelle isn't too scared & worried about her Mummy. Liverpool does seem like a very long way, maybe it's the best NNU considering Birmingham was full.

Sounds like there's no stopping it if the drugs haven't worked so far, lets hope mini Tink can be strong & that she'll be able to get a bed nearer home soon.

Fingers crossed for her, my nephew was born at 26wks, it was such a scary time for all, and very confusing for his sister to have Mummy away for so long

Hope Tink gets her Mummy & sister home safely soon xx

AlexanderPandasmum · 20/10/2008 13:45

TinkerBelle was born at 31 weeks. This baby is at the moment I think 25 weeks?

does she need anything?

i can get to LWH,

my dd was born there

SparklyGothKat · 20/10/2008 13:51

I have had 4 preterm babies, not as early as this tho. I am glad they have managed to get the steriods in, it will give the baby a good chance.

hunkermunker · 20/10/2008 13:54

Thinking of her and the baby xx

CharleeInChains · 20/10/2008 13:55

My dp was born at 26 week and that was 21yr ago! Think how much medical stuff has come on since then.

Thinking of Tink and family. x

AlexanderPandasmum · 20/10/2008 13:57

I remember that the first thing they did with me when preeclampsia threatened (with my 2nd pregnancy) was give the steroids and check with NNU if there was a level 3 incubator space available. There was, as the hospital I was in has a very big NNU and lots of level 3 provision compared to most.

However, TB's mum seems to be saying she was moved to Liverpool because there wasn't a bed (i.e. for her?).

Latest update:

"They've told me that they're stopping this afternoon and not going to do anything to stop it. Just had a visit from doctor while typing this. He said if nothing happens by Wednesday they'll send me home so I can be back under my own team. Mum's on her way back, she's supposed to be in court all week but she came as soon as today finished as she didn't have time to not go today. Fortunately her boss is Isobel's godfather so he's sympathetic."

rascal1979 · 20/10/2008 16:29

Only just seen this. Tinksmum was so supportive when I had my DD prem last December.

MrsY please can you tell her I'm thinking if her and hope all is okay xx
