which brand does the maternity jeans that go under the bump

instead of over it up around your armpits?

i've only ever bought one pair of mat pants as i can't stand pants around my waist even when i'm not preg and i hated wearing them, i existed in oversized jeans and skirts with dd and ds but as i'm only 9 weeks and already showing and i'll be preg through winter so won't be wearing many skirts i think i need to invest in a pair that i like.

they need to be long leg as well as i'm a 34 leg and hate pants that hover at my ankles.

picky? moi?

The belly band thingies are good for helping with under-the-bump jeans. Top Shop used to sell them.

thanks, topshop hasn't discovered west of ireland yet but will give next a look tomorrow when i'm in the area.

Every pair of under bump ones I had fell down TBH. A long chiffony scarf used through the belt runners also helps!

What size are you? I've got some 12L ones from Next I won't be needing ever again and a pair of cropped ones (wear over boots) from Pumpkin Patch.

am quite curvey (in the post baby way, not the sexy good looking way) so hopefully my chunky thighs and hips will hold them up

Is there a secret to stop underbump bumptrousers from falling down? I hoped getting more bump would help but at 30 weeks I can still only hold them up with a belt tight across my pelvis and they keep threatening to slide off my (quite curvaceous) backside!

Mr NC has lent me a pair of braces, but they're bright red and I think I'd need an oversize white shirt and bowler hat to go with them.

I'm glad it's summer - I'm wearing long stretchy skirts and long loose (well, were loose...) dresses.

I lived in under the bump jeans last pregnancy and hated over ones. However this time around, I am throroughly sick of hitching under bump ones up (got some from Gap).

I also think that once you've hidden the stretchy panel on the overbump ones under a top, they're actually more flattering as they fit around your bum rather than sagging because they're not held up properly.

I've got some great over the bump ones from Hennes, cheap and look like normal jeans (can get bootcut or skinny leg). Once the soft bump panel is hidden under a top it looks like you're wearing normal jeans.

I feel quite evangelical now about embracing the over the bump and not driving myself mad hitching under-bump ones up! Worth trying on at least?

We live in rural area so it meant a long trip to get to a H&M but I got a lot of other cheap stuff there as well so it was worth it.

Anyone tried thre Isabella Oliver under the bump ones? I seriously considering them as getting a bump even though just 8 weeks. They have quite a good reduction off them at the moment, though still a lot to pay if they fall down - well worth the money though if they don't!

I got mine from Top Shop and M&S, but the slightest movement means that people can see my bum crack. I wish there were nice soft long t-shirts somewhere, but all the maternity ones are really strongly stretchy, or have almost no sleeves. Maternity clothing is horrible.

hatty, have tried the over bump ones and so far am not converted, on a limited budget so can't really buy loads of pairs to try differant types.

I bought mine from topshop - they may do online - but I've seen them in the Blooming Marvellous catalogue too

Have you tried H&M overbump? (Don't work for them honestly!)

I normally hate over the bump ones too but was converted by these. And the price tag was attractive too!

EBenes, none of my maternity tops bar one are actually maternity tops. i just buy long tops in my normal size and as long as they're long enough they do right til the end (and i was huge with ds)

maternity tops are a bit of a scam imo, i mean you bump changes size so much they're never going to fit you properly the whole way through so what's the point of making them with a bump shape at the front

Blooming Marvellous. I lived in them during both pregnancies.

I also had some from Next, Dorothy P, and Top Shop, but they all kept falling down.
