instead of over it up around your armpits?

i've only ever bought one pair of mat pants as i can't stand pants around my waist even when i'm not preg and i hated wearing them, i existed in oversized jeans and skirts with dd and ds but as i'm only 9 weeks and already showing and i'll be preg through winter so won't be wearing many skirts i think i need to invest in a pair that i like.

they need to be long leg as well as i'm a 34 leg and hate pants that hover at my ankles.

picky? moi?

"i just buy long tops in my normal size and as long as they're long enough they do right til the end (and i was huge with ds)"

For some reason, didn't think I could do that. I am very big this time at just 4 months. I should look in the normal people sales while they're still on, but they've been depressing me because they're full of things I can't buy.

I bought dark blue 'under the bump' skinny jeans from Top Shop which I love. They're not actually skinny, really - they're more straight/narrow. They do a 34 inch leg (I'm 5'11, so definitely needed!), have a bit of stretch in them and wash brilliantly. I'm not usually a fan of Top Shop (too young for me) but these were a great buy.

I'm 5ft 11" too and swore by a pair of under the bump ones from Blooming Marvellous mail order). They also came in very useful after the event ... in fact, they've only just gone up in the loft!!!

These are fantastic from next - i have bought 3 pairs and they are all i wear right now! They have fitted from 17 weeks when i first needed them through to now - 31 weeks. They do not fall down at all (and i am not just odd i have had lots of mat jeans including others from next which did fall down

They are also a normal length - not bizarrely short like some mat jeans and they do the three lengths too. And in 2 different colours.

Sorry cant work out how to do link

I've just ordered one from Top Shop, along with a pair of their maternity leggings, so I can wear skirts again without feeling like Pamela Anderson or whoever with a bump and a mini. Thanks for the tip.

Next do them, but go a size smaller that you are they are made on the big side I think

PetitFilou1 · 04/07/2008 20:51

Seraphine (online) if no-one has already mentioned them. Have lived in my two pairs so far.

PinkTulips · 04/07/2008 20:59

will check out next and dorethy perkins at the weekend as i can get to them easily enough (only an hour and a half drive ) and might be best to try before i buy

am slightly in love with the crave boyfriend jeans though what's their sizing like?

dorathy perkins do but again they fall down

MaryJB · 05/07/2008 16:47

Try these - they are 35 inches on the leg. They have both under bump and over the bumps - AND - they are in the sale.
Personally I'd go for over - I got bored hitching my jeans up all the time - even with a scarf tied round.

Try www.everydaymaternity.com/casual-maternity-jeans-p-316.html for under bump

Or if youlike the baggy ones they have these

I'd second Seraphine jeans, I lived in mine during and afterwards.
