Found out recently I’m pregnant with baby number 3 😍. I’ve worked out my due date as early May 2027. Anyone else? It would be nice to have a support thread going. They’ll be quite a big gap between my two kids and baby, I feel like I’ve forgotten everything 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve only told my OH and my daughters due date group 😂 I’m anxious to tell anyone else early on because of our early losses, but I think we’ll probably tell parents around 6 weeks, mainly because we might need childcare help for appointments and things and I feel like if I did lose the pregnancy after 6 weeks I’d want their support, if that makes sense.

I’m not sure how I’m going to hide it though, I’m a fitness instructor and already struggling to teach 😅 last time I had terrible nausea too and it was just a rough time, everyone guessed so early!

Awww I feel you on that. I had early losses and I want to tell my oarenta now. But they are traveling for 2 more months! And they are the only ones who have been supportove in the losses and previous births and apts etc. So we wipo wait until they get back. I will be nearly 12 weeks!

MixedBananas · 21/09/2026 02:27

@Heartofhope in England and Wales you have to be reffered by Gp or Maternity unit. I called my maternity unit and I went to EPAU the next day. They were fantastic. Once on their rador you can call them anytime until 16weeks.

Lookingforhope26 · 21/09/2026 09:11

I’m wondering if I should book a private scan appt on Friday when I’m 8 weeks. I’m just worried about sickness not really being present lately, can’t stop thinking the worst.

Heartofhope · 21/09/2026 10:51

@Lookingforhope26 i didn’t have sickness at all with my son, they can all be different but I do understand the anxiety. A scan can hopefully give you some reassurance 🤞🏼

my partner doesn’t want to have an early scan due to previous loss but I positioned it with him as hopefully reassurance but if anything doesn’t turn out the way we hope it’s not going to be because of or not because of having a scan.

I am sure you will decide what is best for you ♥️ I’m 6w from LMP or 5w+4 from ovulation date and I’ve booked a scan for just over a weeks time. Good luck whatever you decide x

Plumchumm · 21/09/2026 13:09

So I had a scan as I've had previous ectopic and wanted to be sure of location. Wasn't able to see anything on scan before, however HCG was only 755 then.

44 hours later, it rose to 1252 (not doubling but still a rise)

Then 1700. I saw a gestational sac in my womb which rules out ectopic, thankfully, but the rise being significantly slower this time has me bracing for a miscarriage.

Really sad that we got news of our bloods same day as we saw the sac. Booked in for further HCG in 2 days and another ultrasound.

Really don't know what's going to happen but not feeling very hopeful! Other than that I've had no bleeding/spotting or cramps!

StillNotFoundThePlot · 21/09/2026 14:36

I think I’m allowing myself to be excited now, I know the baby is not guaranteed to stay but I’m tired of being negative and pushing away happy/excited thoughts! I had another scan today I’m 8w5d and everything is looking good, no cause for concern at all! Here’s a pic of the baby doing headstands 😂

Thats lovely news @StillNotFoundThePlot
It’s also really interesting to see what a baby looks like at 8+5. I have a scan booked next week for 8+2 and it’s my first experience with an early scan. In my first pregnancy I somehow waited until 13 weeks for my nhs scan but I’m much less patient this time!

Yeah I was so anxious, this was done at the hospital and that first few minutes when the ultrasound lady is quiet is horrible!!! I was panicking and sweating!! But all was good, good luck for next week too be sure to show us your pictures too ❤️

Morning everyone! Just a question, I’m 8 weeks and I’ve booked in a dating scan tomorrow. For those who have had their scans around this time, has it been a normal scan or done vaginally? I’m wondering if I could ask them to try normally first?

They usually try Abdominal even when I went to EPAU at 6weeks!
I had an eaely sxan with my 1st at 8weeks and they managed to capture all the information externally on my abdomen.

It does depend on abdominal fat and also position of uterus.

Massive congratulations to those reaching 8 weeks. I used to check this every day in my last pregnancy
https://datayze.com/miscarriage-chart
It tells you the probability of miscarriage by how many weeks and days you are and I feel like by the time you are 8 weeks it's a massive milestone.
I'm counting down the days until I can get a private scan

Miscarriage Probability Chart

Displays the overall probability of miscarriage - or, conversely, the probability of not miscarrying - based on pregnancy length by day and maternal history.

Hello ladies, I had my private scan this evening. Ended up opting to have it transvaginally as I was conscious of paying so much money and it possibly not being as clear. I was one day off my dates, so I worked it out as 8+1 but I’m actually 8 weeks today. I felt reassured and can’t wait to see baby again around 12 weeks! Still feeling extremely nauseous, with strong food aversions 🤢. Looking forward to feeling a little more human soon. Hope everyone is okay ♥️ x

Just woke up and been to toilet and had some bleeding, really worried now, will be phoning EPAU in morning.

Hope you get seen quickly and it works out all OK

FolkSongSweet · 22/09/2026 08:38

Congratulations on the lovely scan pic @StillNotFoundThePlot!

Hope all is ok @Lookingforhope26. I’ve had spotting and in one case severe bleeding in my healthy pregnancies, and never had any spotting/bleeding in my mcs (which were all missed mcs), so it’s not necessarily bad news. If you’re taking aspirin it can be caused by that.

Im 6w today and feel really terrible, which is reassuring but unpleasant! I’ve completely gone off coffee so DH is sure to notice soon…still haven’t told him and weirdly dreading it! (Pretty sure he will be a combo of happy and shocked because it was not planned).

PhoenixSTL · 22/09/2026 08:52

Morning all,

Dropping into this thread - i was previously in the December 26 thread, and found the support from the ladies so amazing. Got my positive on Saturday, expected due date based on my LMP is 31st May.

I'm already very anxious. I have one lovely boy already, who is 4. We've been trying for a second baby for over a year now. Unfortunately, a miscarriage in August 25 at about 8 weeks, and a second miscarriage (with identical twins) in June 26 at about 12 weeks.

Currently 4+1 today, and planning to get private early scans this time.

Just trying to take things one day at a time...

Thanks everyone

Well I phoned EPU this morning and they weren’t concerned since it stopped quickly, and they put it down to the progesterone being inserted. Hopefully that is the cause, hard not to worry though!

I had terrible sickness this morning mind so hopefully that is a good sign!!

Aww so sorry to hear about your losses. I hope everything goes well in this pregnancy x

Ataneli · 22/09/2026 10:00

So I went for a scan at EPU for the one sided cramping I was having. Everything looked fine. I'm a week later than my LMP date which I expected because I always ovulate later.
They saw a sack in the right place so everything is good.
She did say to me "I'm going to say something and I don't want you to read into it.. do twins run in your family?" To which I replied, I'm a twin and I have twin nephews, so yes😅
Turns out she couldn't be 100% sure but there could be 2 sacks. Going back in 2 weeks to check😬

I am still super super crampy but all over now rather than one sided. I also have headaches and nausea, none of which I had with my son so who knows!

Silverglass · 22/09/2026 12:06

Did an easy@home test to see if I could get a really dark one, since I never did last time, and now semi concerned mine might be twins 😂 none in the family at all though so hopefully just hcg progressing well.

Any Mumma’s due in May 2027?
BelleSprout · 22/09/2026 12:13

I feel like my tests are a lot darker this time than they were with my daughter and I’ve got quite a lot of cramping already so I won’t lie it has crossed my mind too! No twins in my family but I am 37 and I know the chances are higher the older you are…
