Anxiously waiting for my section today

Currently in my bed and arrived at 7.30. I am third on the list but have heard there are delays . I’m not sure if number one has gone in yet.

This hospital does run two theatres one for electives and one for emergencies but trying not to panic about the delays to much. Terrified of a cancellation as currently there is a two week wait for sections. I don’t think my anxiety could cope as I have a few complications.

I suffer with massive pregnancy anxiety so the mental health team have popped up to see me which is lovely .

Anyone fancy anxiously waiting alongside me or just sending positive vibes I get to meet my baby boy today

I'm at the bus station waiting for a bus to London to look after my DGD while my DD has an ECS tomorrow, and I'm feeling anxious.
Let these precious baby boys (boy here too) arrive safely and mums recover swiftly. 💞

Ahh wishing all the luck in the world to your DD to, my mum is with my DS at my house. It’s his last day of school today we haven’t told him where we have gone just that I needed to go to hospital to check on baby bump. I miss him heaps already

DGD is nearly 6. Big stuff for them going from only to older sibling.

DS1 just turned 6. He is very excited to be a big brother

DGD is excited too but also showing signs of anxiety at the change. Bless them I bet they'll be great big sibs.
Any news yet? Have you been told how long the whole procedure takes? I haven't asked too many questions as I didn't want to ramp up the anxiety.
I'm on my bus now. 😂

I have been told I am next and just had my cannula fitted and gown put on. Feeling so scared now but I can’t wait to meet him

baby Boy was born just before 2pm . My C section was absolutely fine. The amazing mental health midwife joined us and held my hand alongside husband

Baby boy is in special care as a precaution as he was having a little issue with breathing which they said is common with c sections as he didn’t clear his lungs properly. I also had way to much fluid which didn’t helps. He is likely to be there overnight but I got some amazing cuddles first .

I can’t believe how calm my ELCS was compared to my emergency with my son. It was so calm,

Warmest congrats! I had to wait until 4.30pm the day I had my ELCS - you did well 😄 I was STARVING by the time I got back to the ward at 10.30pm

Thank you all. Baby boy is going to stay in special care he still just needs to get those lungs working. Horrid to see him with wires but I have had a cuddle and I know he’s in the best place

in special care. And I’m doing ok

@TemporarilyCantDoMyself if your daughter hadn’t already packed ear plugs make sure she does, I hadn’t considered dads that snore like freight trains in the post natal ward being such a big issue for sleep 🙉

Aw bless you, they just left for the hospital with so much stuff! If they haven't got earplugs I might be able to get some later and take them in when me and DGD (hopefully) visit this afternoon.
