Anxiously waiting for my section today

Currently in my bed and arrived at 7.30. I am third on the list but have heard there are delays . I’m not sure if number one has gone in yet.

This hospital does run two theatres one for electives and one for emergencies but trying not to panic about the delays to much. Terrified of a cancellation as currently there is a two week wait for sections. I don’t think my anxiety could cope as I have a few complications.

I suffer with massive pregnancy anxiety so the mental health team have popped up to see me which is lovely .

Anyone fancy anxiously waiting alongside me or just sending positive vibes I get to meet my baby boy today

I did manage to doze. But the dads certainly
made It hard .

Baby boy is doing so much better this morning and really getting the hang of his breathing. I hope we might come home this evening or tommorrow

We have even worse snorers tonight. It’s insane!

I had my last DC in Covid so no partners on wards so this is an experience, although I’m so glad for my DH help as I am so sore today,

good news. Baby boy is out of special care. I can’t believe how quickly he bounced! Hopefully we can go home tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed we can

Great news! My second section baby was in NICU for three days ago- at 9 lbs 14 oz she weighed more than the rest put together! I knew she’d be ok (it was a blood sugar issue as I’m a type 1 diabetic) my main worry was getting her to breastfeed after being fed by a tube during that time. Anyway she did manage to latch.
