Hi!

Thought I'd start a group for those of us just getting our positives now and are due in April 2027!

I've just had a positive from a frozen embryo transfer. One DD and a previous loss and one failed cycle.

Anxious putting one foot in front of the other in these early days!

I'm taking 400ug folic acid. I was never recommend vitamin D for my first pregnancy? That's why I haven't been taking that.

3+ on my pregnancy test 🥰 5 weeks today.

@TheUniqueMember I think the guidance might've changed- now they recommend it: https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/pregnancy-vitamins-and-supplements/

I think the NHS now recommend Vitamin D 400iu (10g) daily during pregnancy now. In addition to the same amount of folic acid.

congrats on the test. I’m 6 weeks on Thursday 😊

Thank you 😊 I have been taking both a couple of months before conceiving as well. I used to take some wild nutrition supplements. I think I like taking them separately atm as I know exactly what’s in it if that makes sense and the strength as that’s what my clinic recommended to me. I am sure I read folic acid can be stopped at 12 weeks tho but not sure. I’ll ask my clinic when I next see them!

I did stop folic acid at 12 weeks my first pregnancy because I thought it was making my nausea etc worse and it was NHS advice that you could. Not sure the current advice now but I intend to take it all the way through. I'm also taking vitamin D. Last pregnancy I checked with my GP who said I could take omega 3 supplements as I was struggling to eat most foods and very little protein.

This time I asked the GP who said if I'm eating okay so far, don't take the Omega 3 and we could talk about it again if I went off most food again. Fingers crossed not because it was horrible!

Oh, that’s good to know thank you!

I read that folic acid all the way through won’t harm baby, so I’ll likely continue after 12wks. Didn’t know that re omega 3. That’s interesting. Do you enjoy eating fish?

I do love fish yeah, I've been pescatarian since I was little (by choice) but went off most fish and definitely eggs until I was oof I think at least 15 weeks last time. I could handle a tuna toastie that was basically it.

Now I've been diagnosed coeliac which they think was triggered by my last pregnancy too! Thank god for gluten free alternatives and potatoes/rice but it will be interesting this time as most of the only 14 foods I could tolerate for the first trimester and a bit were very specific carbs 😬

Hi everyone! Tentatively joining as I’ve had faint lines yesterday testing and a darker one this morning!

No idea how many dpo I am as I’ve only had 3 irregular length cycles , as my baby is turning 1 next week!

Looking forward to reading back through everyone’s stories x

RowsOfFlowers · 06/08/2026 07:09

Hey, I just got my first midwife appointment through - 27th August 💕 Has anyone had one of these before and did your partner come with you for this one? From the email it looks like they’ll be doing a blood pressure check, blood test, urine test and talking through my medical history - it falls on a day where it’s difficult for my husband to come out of work.

Missdiva · 06/08/2026 07:11

hey, can I join?
we had a very chilled discussion about Ttc in June, but said let’s just relax rather than the intensity of last time as i am just finishing up my post grad with lots of deadlines I didn’t even track and just guessed ovulation, didn’t do much dtd around then just because life happened.
about 7dpo my boob started leaking which was bizarre,
so we tested 10dpo and 11dpo and both faint but there
will be retesting at the weekend because I can’t quite believe it.

i have a teen who is 17 today, a toddler. 2. A step son 19.
can’t quite believe it yet.

Hey, you don’t need your partner with you for that. Mine would come only for the 12 and 20 week scans, the rest is very routine, quick appointments and nothing for them to do / see there. :)

Mine is the 26th! My partner will be coming as he booked it off but honestly it isn't really necessary for them to come 😂 but I need him to keep an eye on DD as we haven't told anyone else.

I was wondering the same! From what I gather, it’s more of an admin appointment and no scan..I’d hate for my husband to miss out if they did scan, though

Ah thank you. This was my thinking too!
He’s off the hook for this one then 😉
We have an early 7 week scan with our fertility appt next week, nervous!

I wouldn't bother! Mine came last time and was so bored 😂 it's an hour of admin and checking blood pressure, bloods etc, nothing exciting or for them to do. Good to ask your DH about his family medical history - I didn't know answers for his side to a few of those questions at my pre-booking appt which was over the phone last time. This time all on an app luckily.

But yeah my booking appt is 12th August, I told mine to stay home with the toddler. Bring him along to scans but there's not much for them to do when you see the midwife I found, I just went on my own 😊 only one car anyway and I was usually coming to or from work with it

Good luck! I've booked mine for bang on 8 weeks. The day after I'm back to work so guess I'm not telling them first day back 😬

No scan. First nhs scan is 12 weeks. Then 20.

Thank you lovely. My hubby works in c London and we only have the one car we share too. We are off away for a long weekend the day after so he was worried about asking for time off for it before this. I don’t think it’s super necessary he comes along by the sounds of things. Not worth a whole day off for a one hour appointment that’s mostly about me/admin stuff!

Yep, exactly. My fertility clinic are scanning me next week at week 7, and then we booked a private scan for week 10 as well. I don’t think NHS offer enough scans! Xx

Definitely! If it helps him feel good about the decision, immediately after we left my booking appt last time my DH went "well that was boring as f**k" soo he's def not invited this time 😂 he wasn't wrong though!

Joining also .... tentatively as i'm old (41) but hoping for no issues! Currently 14 DPO with positive tests since 9DPO, i have one son 2.5 and one previous MC prior to having him so just waiting to see if this is going to progress, keeping everything crossed

agree with the other posters the first booking in is literally an hour of family history and admin (be prepared to know all about family health conditions mainly on your side of the family but some of the fathers side!) and a blood/urine test maybe, the only NHS scans are 12 weeks and 20 weeks. I always book a private scan about 8 weeks when they can see if everything is ok, which is how we caught the first MC

I'm not going to call to book in until about 8 weeks along just so i know there's more chance of everything being ok! 😂

cookiesancream · 06/08/2026 18:20

Would love to join too. Im 4 weeks 3 days and super nervous. I have 2 kids but 7 miscarriages so really hoping this one sticks, super anxious, stressed and nervous. Been TTC for this for over a year.

TheUniqueMember · 09/08/2026 09:07

I've felt extremely exhausted past 2 days that I couldn't function until I had a nap whilst my dd had one too😅
